Little reminder that I dropped this mode and the new mode is still in work. I'm not going to make any changes to this anymore. I've had multiple successful test runs and I know it works as long as there are only 4 players at max.

Also there are a few people out there having fun editing the mode. That's completely fine, youre supposed to have fun and thats all that counts..
BUT the player limit i set has a reason. If you increase the player limit to 5+ please dont come to me talking about the mode being broken. thanks.

Few bugs that are known and not really possible to fix:

  1. Queue players break the mode and cause a bot to despawn/not to spawn. as soon as a bot despawned because of a queue player you can pretty much restart

  2. widow laser sometimes still doesnt get removed. bug exists ever since the original mode and even I couldnt find the cause. its random and might or might not appear

  3. sometimes some bots get stuck behind those barrels which you can find after going past the bridge. usually its only a zen being stuck but because of my fallbacks it causes bastion not to spawn. if you take to long to kill him you will just get 2 bastions at once.

  4. sometime the servers might crash. still cant do anything about it. it really depends on how many people are playing on that region. we had days where everything was perfectly fine with a top avg serverload of 140 with 4 players and then we had days when you could just play solo and as soon as the match starts the server load pretty much jumps to 255 avg. solution would be to play on Singapore.. never had any problems there.. well except for the ping

they do spawn as soon as you kill the last zen that is stuck behind some barrels. small map changes broke hukutas pathfinding and i didnt care about fixing it since i actually dropped the mode nearly a year ago

EDIT: if its not because of the zen, then it might also be because there are a lot of people out there playing a 5 player version of this mode which obviously breaks it and stops the fourth bot from spawning when there are 5 players. the same also goes for players in queue. i cannot turn off the queue but queue players count as 1 model and therefore count towards the hero/skin limit of 8 (4 players + 4 bots)

Some time ago Shingen took it off. Don't know Shingens exact reasons for this. Last time i checked the code still worked though.

Hi! Feature "Story heroes" was added to make a more balanced gameplay experience like in Junkerstein's revenge. You can disable this feature and then you can pick Bastion, Torb, Orisa, etc that breaks all game mode balance.

The "story heroes" were a "feature" of the original mode.
Since there isnt a story yet, there also is no need for code that does really nothing but disable some of the heroes.

Im planning on adding a story mode myself some time in the future but it will most probably be a different code. Therefore there is no need for those "story heroes" anymore in my opinion.
