Storm Rising PvE 2
This code is over 6 months old. The code may have expired and might no longer function.
This PvE mission is a fan-made sequel to the last Archives PvE mission in OW1. Featuring recreations of Talon (except the Assasin), and old Null Sector enemies. It is also a sequel to my first "PvE" mission, Havana PvE. We are currently in Version 1, so expect some changes in the future. Planned features: All Heroes mode, Challenge Missions, and more hero-specific dialogue lines.
IMPORTANT!
Because this is Version 1, I'm open to suggestions!!! If you want something to be added, just tell me.
And now, time for some QnA!
What happened to WotB Remastered?
▼
If you have a lot going on, like your grandparent moving out and your other grandparent moving in, or constantly being bullied at school (this is not a joke, but atleast I work from home now), or being as tired and depressed as I am, you can see why WotB Remastered won't get updated. But next year, I'm recreating ToS.
What's next?
▼
Around the holidays, there will be another PvE project. I don't have any other ideas, other than it's Christmas themed. Maybe like "How the Doomfist Stole Christmas" or "Twas the Night Before Christmas" or something like that. If you have any ideas, please let me know, and happy holidays!
Release date for Underrising Remastered?
▼
Not a specific release date yet, but all I can say would be late February or early March 2024. After the Christmas PvE project, I promise that I'll start working on it again.
Also if you want to see some unused stuff go look inside the workshop editor 8)

If any of yall want some lore, here you go (contains spoilers):
Talon, through the years, has been doing secret operations. But after failing to capture the space base, they wanted victory. Meanwhile, as the new Overwatch team were busy fighting Null Sector, they soon realized that NS were only persistent because of something helping them. Talon. So when Overwatch found out that Talon was on the verge of attacking Havana again, Winston was excited to put Null Sector's only help on hold. Winston called upon Genji, Mercy, and Tracer to help. Sojourn, who was piloting the dropship on the way, said she saw something purple, but the others weren't listening. When the team arrived at the garage, they were fighting Troopers and a few Enforcers. Tracer also spotted a few Elite Troopers, but those quickly died out. In the thick of it, Winston tried to contact Echo, but she wouldn't pick up. Genji thought he saw something, but it was so dark that he couldn't tell what it was.
Echo finally picked up Winston's call while the team was hiding. Echo started the dropship and told the team that she'd be on her way. When Echo arrived, she noticed that a large thing was trying to hit the dropship. She thought to herself, "Did Torbjörn forget to destroy one of his giant turrets?". Indeed, Torbjörn did, in fact, build giant turrets in Havana during the Omnic Crisis. Sometimes he would forget to dismantle the turrets and collect their scrap. But in this case, Torbjörn did get rid of the turrets, so what did Echo see? And then, it hit her: Null Sector!
After she correctly identified that it was Null Sector, Echo thought it was the new one. So she tells Winston about Null Sector's presence, she also says she needs those Anti-Aircraft Guns disabled. Winston and the group continue to fight, and they soon realized that something's wrong with the Nulltroopers. Tracer takes a little bit to remember, but Mercy instantly recognizes those old Nulltroopers from the Uprising! After telling the group about it, Winston asks Echo why she didn't tell them that it was the old Null Sector, Echo apologizes, as not knowing that there was an older Null Sector, then tells Winston that there are Eradicators, and that these robots are the last of old Null Sector. The group fights their way and disables the second gun. As the group gets ready to disable the last gun, they found out Talon was there, defending with Null Sector. After the group disables the last gun, Echo tells them that the guns are running on the reserve power grid, and that the source of it are OR-14's. Winston and his friends are fighting, ending old Null Sector. Echo tells Winston that Talon is fleeing, and that makes the group want to fight even more. After the guns are shut-off permanetly, Echo finds the last of Talon in Havana being left behind. Winston, Genji, Mercy, and Tracer liberate Havana once again, and Echo comes to pick them up to complete the mission.
Sorry this was long
Why do you make it look 3m down from the targets eye position? It just causes them to look at the players feet. If you wanted center mass i find 'world vector 0, divide distance between eye position and position by 1.4, 0' to be center mass most of the time with a few exceptions, one being sigma.
And if your not happy with that you can always just tweak the divide amount.
I was using daPVEboi's AI for the bots because it was way better than mine, but for UR Remastered and future PvE projects, I will continue to use my bots' AI. For mini-projects like SpaceWatch or this one, I will be using the other AI. Also is it okay if I could copy your pathfinding code just for the Assasin? Thank you!
yeah thats fine. if you need any nevmeshs made feel free to ask, i got tons of time, i know you cant copy it from my discord or whatever since your on console but i can make a code so you can copy it.
Also I Noticed A Softblock Bug While Playing With Bots, I Capped Point 3 It Said To Go Back To The Starting Area, So I Killed Myself To Respawn Closer But I Respawned Inside The Starting Area Preventing Me From Getting To The Next Objective Trigger.
Yeah, there's multiple bugs, but you shouldn't be dying after point 3, and if you do because of a last-minute Eradicator projectile or you fall off the map, well... I mean like it's not a long distance to cross from the sea fort and the distillery. Until I figure out a way to properly implement all heroes, actually, Tracer, Genji, Winston, and Mercy are all very mobile, so you can get there before the dialogue finishes.
Another thing I want to add is custom friendly bots like Invasion. For now, you will have to use Blizzard's automated bots.
You alright man? You seem to have... vented your thoughts out.
if you want me to, I can chat with ya at some point like I did with my other friend.
heck, even I went through depression but I managed to get out of it.
