Chronowatch - Asynchronous Time Loop 1v1 Battle

What if every hero has a chronal accelerator? In this game mode, you will engage in a 1v1 battle against another player, manipulating cause and effect to your advantage and win with strategies and wits!

This game mode is heavily inspired by the game Lemnis Gate.

Rules

Players take turns to play in a 25-second time loop. In each turn, heroes from previous time loops replay their actions while one player controls a new hero to influence the outcome of the time loop. Players must capture the opponent's flag to score points. The player with the most points after the final loop wins.

First Loop

• Player 1's turn - 25s
• End-of-turn replay - 25s
• Player 2's turn - 25s
• End-of-turn replay - 25s

Second Loop

• Player 1's turn - 25s
• End-of-turn replay - 25s
• Player 2's turn - 25s
• End-of-turn replay - 25s

Final Loop

• Player 1's turn - 25s
• End-of-turn replay - 25s
• Player 2's turn - 25s
• Player with the most score wins

Only scores in the final loop contribute to victory! If a hero manages to score a point, killing that hero in future time loops will negate the point!

When a hero is killed, he/she becomes desynced. Their actions will still be recorded and replayed in future time loops, but they cannot interact with others while in the desynced state. Saving that hero from death removes the desynced status and allows their actions to be impactful in future time loops.

Variants

In the workshop settings, you can turn on Simultaneous Mode, which allows both teams to play at the same time for 3 rounds, providing a symmetrical and fair battle.
