- Hold [Crouch] + [Interact] to view hero info and help.
- Hold [Quick Melee] to switch the camera.
- To buy a hero, stand in the circle near them and press [Interact], if you can afford it.
- Ultimate charge increases by 5% for participating in kills, defense assists, and offense assists. It also increases by 1% for every 0.3 seconds of playing emotes.
- Damage resistance is increased by 0.5% for each hero you have purchased.
- Heroes and prices available for purchase at different locations are randomly generated each match.
- Barriers push zombies back but take damage while doing so.
- Zombies don’t usually die from falling into pits, but if you force them in, they take 250 base damage. Use crowd control and barriers to your advantage.
- Health packs gradually restore HP (scaling with HP/Healing upgrades) and boost movement speed by 50% for 5 seconds.

Zombie team bots calculate target priority based on distance to the target plus modifiers. Normally, bots select the nearest target.
Being behind a wall or invisible reduces priority.
Having the tank class increases priority.
Common zombie bots
To keep the start of the game manageable, only 6 zombie bots will attack simultaneously in the first 5 rounds. From round 6 onward, there will be 14 zombie bots
Just swings a hammer. Occasionally gets angry and spills hot beer right at your feet. In rounds 45–50 and in random rounds after 55, Torbjörn zombies spawn with fully charged ultimates.
During pursuit, they scatter Steel Traps. Appear in rounds 25–29 and in random rounds after 55.
They deploy Sentry Turrets everywhere. Appear in rounds 35–39 and in random rounds after 55.
Warning: A large number of Sentry Turrets significantly strains the server.
Elite zombie bots
Appears in round 5. Uses Overrun on players and ignites those hit. The burn lasts a long time but can be removed with a health pack.
Appears in round 7. Stationary. Teleports between sniper positions.
Appears in round 10. Pulls enemies toward herself. Melee attacks may apply the Hacked effect to victims.
Minor gameplay mechanics
After a dead player is revived by another player, the revived player becomes invulnerable for 1.5 seconds to allow time to react.
