Saturday Night Weaver
Take out your party skins, put on your dance emotes, because it is time to dance! No matter if you dance on point, dance on the payload or dance with the robot - as long as you dance! 🕺
Both teams get a "Dance-O-Meter", whoever fills the meter first, will be declared rulers of the dancefloor! You fill the meter by dancing on objective, be it the point on Hybrid, Control or Flashpoint maps, the Payload on Hybrid or Escort Maps or the Robot on Push maps - as long as you dance! Every team member dancing on objective fills the Dance-O-Meter by 1 per second (meaning: if the whole team dances, the Dance-O-Meter fills by 5 per second).
Dancing towards the Dance-O-Meter counts as soon as the objective is active.
Dancefloors
Maps with points also get a dancefloor! Maps with dancefloors so far:
- King's Row
- Midtown
Use the night versions of these maps for maximum effect!
Sidenote on dancing
It's not possible to detect if someone is actually using a dance emote. Basically any emote will do, but dancing is more fun and the dance emotes have the advantage of going on until you explicitly stop them.
Workshop Settings
Decide Match by Dance-O-Meter (default: off)
If you turn this on, the team that either fills their Dance-O-Meter first or has more dancing points at the end of the match, wins
Dance-O-Meter Maximum (default: 300)
How many dancing points you need to completely fill a team's Dance-O-Meter.
Spawn Dancefloor and Discoball
If for some reason there should be performance issues with the dancefloor (or you just find it too distracting), you can turn it off in the workshop settings (testing it, it worked fine even on Nintendo Switch, so this should not be an issue).
