Lootbox Simulator, formerly known as “Buy Heroes to Win” (originally “Compre heróis para vencer”), is a free-for-all game mode in which players must unlock heroes, upgrades, and talents through loot boxes. Earn credits by eliminating enemies and contesting objectives, and be the first to reach 10,000 credits to win. Credits to Alo’s Cursor by Alomare.

This gamemodes supports AI Bots that can buy items (heroes/upgrades) and use powerups like players. They even have custom names! Consider adding some bots when starting a match with only 1-2 players, and remove them when other players start joining.

First Lootboxes

When first joining a match, you receive a welcome pack: 500 credits to open your first loot boxes and unlock starting heroes to start the match. Remember to choose a hero of your choice obtained from lootboxes before spawning.

Main Menu

When entering a match for the first time, the main menu will appear. In the menu, you can switch heroes and check which heroes you own in the "Inventory", change upgrades at any time in the "Upgrades" menu, open loot boxes in the "Loot Box" menu, you can ban, prioritize, or purchase powerup tweaks in the "Powerups" menu, and modify preferences in the "Preferences" menu.

This menu can only be accessed after dying.

Heroes

Heroes in this gamemode needs to be unlocked through lootboxes. There is currently 6 rarities (the rarest one is obtained only leveling up your hero to max level) that is:

• Common (-20% of damage and speed. -20% of knockback dealt. +30 Tenacity.)
• Uncommon (-2% of damage and speed. +10 Tenacity)
• Rare (+10% of knockback dealt. +5 Tenacity.)
• Epic (+5% of damage and speed. +20% of knockback dealt. +2 Tenacity.)
• Legendary (+10% of damage and speed. +20% of knockback dealt.)
• Mythic (+15% of damage and speed. +30% of knockback dealt.)

Loot boxes

There is currently 5 different lootboxes, for different uses. Higher lootboxes rarities increases higher chances of getting higher heroes rarities.

Upgrades

Upgrades can be equiped to enhance your hero. Can be unlocked through lootboxes. There are 5 types of upgrades, listed below:

Vitality	Vitality enhances your survivability increasing your health or mitigating damage.
Support	Support Upgrades help you in specific situations.
Strike	Upgrade a specific atribute of your hero.
Gadget	A Passive ability that can cost energy to regenerate its resources.
Talent	Customize your abilities with talents! Unique for each hero.*

• Talents are unlocked through lootboxes as well, but only for your current hero when opening a loobox.

You can equip only 1 upgrade per type.
Upgrades can be enhanced to mythic version.
Tenacity is an attribute that reduces the effectiveness or duration of enemies powerups/talents affecting directly you. Consider increasing it if enemies are using CC powerups often.

Vitality Upgrades:

Resistance Upgrade	Reduce damage receive in 13/18 %.	Good with heroes with high health or self healing.
Health Upgrade	Grants 25/50 health points and 10/15 tenacity.	Good against enemies using CC powerups/talents often.

Support Upgrades:

Upgrade name	Description	Recommendation
Temporary Protection	Eliminations generate you 50/75 temporary shields that decay after 4.25 seconds.	Good when need to expose yourself to eliminate an enemy.
Restauration	Restore 30/35 % of your max health with eliminations.	Good to recover fast between fights.
Accelerated Cooldowns	Reduces ability cooldowns in 15/25%.	Great when playing with a cooldown-based hero.
Vampirism	Transform 20/25 % of your damage dealt to healing.	Good with high damage output.
Thorns	Return 5/7 % of the damage received to the attacker.	Good with high max health hero.
Pressured	Receive 50/75 overhealth, 20h/s and 30% move speed when attacked by more than 1 enemy.	Good if you are being a target for players.
Curse Explosion	When attacked by more than 1 enemy at the same time, creates an explosion that reduces damage dealt from enemies 20m from you in 30% for 4/5 seconds.	Good if you are being a target for players.

Antigravity Upgrade	Reduces 30/45 % of your gravity.
Regeneration	Starts a second regeneration effect that restores 15/20 health per second after 2 seconds out of combat.	Good to recover fast between fights.
Cauterization	Grants 25/35 tenacity.	Good against enemies using CC powerups/talents often.

Gadget Upgrades:

Upgrade name	Description	Recommendation
Jetpack	Allows you to flight, costing 4 energy per second to recharge jetpack. Mythic version charges faster and longer duration.
Pusher	Pushes enemies with Quick Meele, dealing extra damage. Cost 20 energy.
Shuriken Pingent	Shoots homing shurikens on victim. Cost 2 energy to recharge 1 shuriken each 3.5 seconds. Can hold up to 3/4 shurikens.
Mobility Boots	Grants 50/60 % movement speed while not in combat. Grants 15/20 tenacity.	Great to reposition faster. Good against CC from Powerups.
Revenge Fury	Generate revenge charge when receiving damage from multiples enemies. Get 150 Overhealth and 30% Move speed when 100%. Increases charge speed in 50% when in mythic version.	Good if you are being a target for players.

Talent Upgrades:

Talents are unique for each hero and can be unlocked through lootboxes. Note that you can only get talents from your current hero through lootboxes.

Powerups

Powerup is a consumable item that does something. You can buy and use powerups pressing the ultimate button. Ultimate now are a powerup as well, obtained when reaching 100% charge. Buying a ultimate as powerup have no cost of energy. You can see more info about each powerup in-game in the Powerup section on menu.

Energy

Energy is a resource used to buy powerups and use with gadgets. It is generated over time and dealing damage to enemies.

Powerup Tweaks

Powerup Tweak is an upgrade to your powerups, that can be unlocked with Tweak Shards. Tweak Shards are obtainable from drops from enemies, contesting objectives and lootboxes.
For now, not all powerups have an tweak yet.

Priorization and Ban

You can Prioritize or Ban 3 powerups each.
You have 30% chance of buying an prioritized powerup. Increases 10% chance for each prioritized powerup.
Banned Powerups are excluded from Powerup buy list.

Objectives

Capture Points

Occasionally, an objective may appear on the map. Contesting the objective grants 10 credits and 0.2 tweak shards per second. The amount of credits earned is distributed among the players within the objective area.

Eliminating Enemies

Eliminating an enemy grants 110 credits. The amount of credits awarded for an elimination is distributed proportionally among all players who contributed to it.

For example, consider a Zarya with 400 health:
Baptiste deals 300 damage.
Tracer deals 100 damage and secures the elimination.

Baptiste receives 83 credits.
Tracer receives 28 credits.

Preferences

In the Preferences section, you can customize your experience on Lootbox Simulator.

Options	Description
Classic Unlocks	Enable buying with interact button ingame. Used to be like this before lootboxes being introduced.
Classic Powerups	Enable buying/using powerups by pressing interact 2x quickly. Used to be like this before powerups rework.
Fast Lootbox Opening	Reduces the time between lootbox openings.
Clean Powerup inventory	Clean the Powerup inventory if happens any issue/bug.
Menu Background	Customize changing the menu background to your favourite background.
Save Progress	Enable this option to save your progress on this session. Saves each 70 seconds and loads when joining the same match again. (Useful to play in queues)
