Sombra Support Rework Proof of Concept
This code is over 6 months old. The code may have expired and might no longer function.
OVERVIEW
This is my own personal idea for a Sombra Support Rework as a Sombra enjoyer. I'm just putting this out here as a proof of concept. Numbers can be tweaked, changes can be made.
The point of these changes is not to make Sombra unusable, they are an attempt to create a functional and healthy version of her in the Support role while maintaining her Hero Fantasy.
I am making this because I have seen so many people claim that Sombra as a Support would never work without destroying the Hero Fantasy, and after seeing a few good ideas that need polishing, i wished to create my own.
Limitations and restrictions
This code will not work in a lobby with more than 10 players. I have set the rules up to be 5v5 role lock as a result.
I have not replaced the DPS passive for the Support passive. Within a week the new season is going to drop and change how these passives work anyway, so making code to replace a passive with another would be pointless.
I also cannot remove the enemy hacking target hud due to workshop limitations, so you will have to disregard it.
The visual effects I made for hacking your allies are not the best, but they do clearly show what is happening, and with the restrictions of the Overwatch Workshop, I think they are good.
PATCH NOTES

Sombra's overall damage output has been decreased by 15%.
Since she is no longer a damage dealer, a reduction to her damage output is necesary.

Sombra's Hack ability can no longer target enemy players, but it can still target enemy player owned objects such as Torbjorn's Turret and Bob. Instead, Hack will target allies, and begin uploading a Firewall. Once the Firewall has been uploaded, the affected ally will be granted 75 temporary health, an instant burst of 50 healing, and a 100HPS healing over time effect. The effects of Firewall last for 3 seconds. Successfully hacking an ally incurs a 3 second cooldown. Hack will not be interupted upon taking damage when used on allies, and when used while targetting an ally, you will remain invisible without revealing your position. Hacking an ally also has significantly increased range and cast speed.
This change will turn Hack into a support/utility move. Due to its cooldown and healing over time effect, it will not turn Sombra into a heal bot, but rather, an off healer who provides extra utility, and can do her own thing while her Firewall heals for her.

Virus will now inflict the Hacked status on hit for 2 seconds (1 second on tanks).
This change will make inflicting the Hacked status require a skill shot. Since Virus is your primary method of hacking, it can no longer be used after a hack to inflict bonus damage. This is an intended side effect to reduce Sombra's damage output.
Additional Information
EMP does not need any changes, as an Ultimate that shuts down your abilities is nowhere near as annoying as being hacked repeatedly by an ability with a short cooldown

very nice idea i do think the HPS and shield are a little high for her hack and she has no other consistent healing option that an illari or Zen (which are obviously off healers that don't do a lot a of healing, but can still do consistent healing). I think the hack numbers are too strong and would cause a lot of frustration. doing high amount of shields, burst and high HPS while then being able to do other things for 3 seconds would make her only strong for hack and thus frustrating for all parties. Love the idea of keeping hack still able to target deployables. I think you should add an all invis or some other feature on translocate and take out some power out of hack. This is because 1. hack is too strong numbers wise in this version and 2. if you encourage sombra to use translocate with a team orientated mindset then she is less likely to solo flank. HOWEVER she would still be great as a dive support that can really help with flanking as a team so I think a change like this to translocate would be good. Don't know the details of what the translocate would do but just an idea. I really like this concept.

Hack numbers are def high but idk how i'd feel about sombra making her team invisible too. I don't personally see a problem with allowing a support to solo flank, as kiriko and lucio for example can already do this. It's just adding more variety and options for players that like that playstyle of support character. It is definitely an interesting idea though
I more so threw out an idea abt the invisible thing as a way to get some power out of hack without making her bad. I see some problems with supports solo flanking but I would be lying if I said that supports can't (and don't already) do that in ow2 currently. I'm really glad we agree about hack numbers. Again really really cool concept.
