Tower Raider! Co-op PvE with Upgrades, Bosses, Waves, and More!

Discord:
Feel free to join to share your feedback or report bugs!

Tower Raider is a cooperative PvE wave-survival mode built for solo players or full 5-player squads . Fight through handcrafted enemy waves, earn credits, create unique builds, upgrade your hero, equip powerful boons, and defeat unique bosses as you climb toward the final level.

This mode is designed to be casual, replayable, and build-focused, but players who want a harder challenge can increase the difficulty with custom settings.

Core Gameplay

Battle through 20 levels of PvE combat, with a major boss fight every 5 levels. Each level throws waves of enemies into a custom arena, with enemy lineups changing as you progress deeper into the tower.

Each enemy type has unique behavior to make the arena feel more alive. Some will rush you down, some fight from range, and others pressure you in different ways depending on the wave.

If your team loses, there is no harsh punishment. You simply retry the current round and keep going.

The main goal is simple:
Reach the Final Level, Defeat the Final Boss, and make the strongest, or funniest build you can along the way.

The Shop

After each level, players earn credits that can be spent on upgrades. Each player has their own upgrades, so everyone can build their hero differently. All Upgrades can be refunded for a new build

You can upgrade stats such as:

  • Damage
  • Life
  • Healing
  • Speed

Most heroes have unique upgrades that add new tools, change how abilities work, or make them more fun and viable in the mode. Some examples include:

Ramattra

Void Stream
  • Damaging enemies with Void Accelerator pushes them back.

Burrowing Vortex
  • Minor Enemies within your Ravenous Vortex are dragged underground.

Tracer

Butterfly Effect
  • Casting Recall with enemies around you will freeze and drag them with you.

Genji

Shimada Lessons: Be Relentless
  • Killing an enemy with Swift Strike makes you immediately dash to the next lowest enemy within range.

Blackwatch Lessons: Exploit Vulnerabilities
  • Enemies Hit with Swift Strike are inflicted with Exposed for Two seconds.

  • Exposed Enemies Take 50% Extra Damage

Shambali Lessons: Sustain Balance
  • Casting Dragon Blade will Nano you.

Jetpack Cat

Hiss
  • Quick Melee Damage Inflicts Exposed.

  • Exposed Enemies Take 50% Extra Damage

Mreow
  • All Minor Enemies in Catnapper's radius are swallowed for the duration.

Mercy

Spite of Hermes
  • Every four bullets releases a rocket from your pistol.

  • Using your ultimate shoots it more often.

First Responder
  • Using Guardian Angel makes you fly through enemies, flinging them behind you.

Angel of Hope
  • Casting Valkyrie resets Ressurect's cooldown

  • While using Valkyrie, Ressurect has 90% less time on its cooldown

Some heroes are more finished than others, but the goal is for each hero to eventually have unique upgrades that make them feel special.

Boons

Boons are powerful build-defining upgrades that level up as you play. You can choose from 6 different boons, and each one can level from 1 to 12.

Only one boon can be equipped at a time, so your choice can strongly shape your playstyle.

Examples include:

Lich Celestial Shadow
Gain life-steal and an extra life. Increase melee damage and summon a clone of yourself. Become harder for enemies to target and deal bonus damage from behind.

Party Rounds

Every round has a chance to become a Party Round, adding a special modifier that changes how the level plays.

There are currently 10 possible Party Rounds, including:

Lights Out The Gauntlet Attack on Project Titan Action Heros
The Arena Darkens Every three kills changes your hero All Players Grow in Size All Players play the game in third-person

Party Rounds are meant to break up the usual wave flow and create chaotic, unexpected moments during each run.

Boss Fights

Every 5 levels, your team faces a boss with extra rewards. Bosses include special attacks, phases, custom effects, and unique arenas.

Current major bosses include:

Round 5: The Ent

The protector of the forest, called upon when in needThe Ent Performing a Shatter

Each Boss has a unique arena, environmental hazards and special attacks. The Major Bosses on round 10 and 20 have several phases to fight through.

Difficulty Options

Tower Raider is made to be playable casually, but there are difficulty options for players who want more pressure.

Current difficulty styles include:

Journey — Easier, more relaxed.
Standard — The intended normal experience.
Warzone — Harder and more chaotic.

You can mostly play your own way on easier settings, but higher difficulty settings will reward stronger teamwork and better builds.

Current State

Tower Raider is still very new and is actively being worked on. Bugs, balance issues, unfinished hero upgrades, and weird Workshop behavior should be expected.

Currently, the mode has:

  • 1-to-5-player support
  • Twenty Levels
  • Four Bosses
  • Seven Unique Minor Enemies
  • 10 Party Round modifiers
  • Six Boons
  • Unique Hero upgrades for most heroes
  • And Much More.

More levels are planned if Workshop storage allows it, with at least 10 more levels planned for the future.

Feedback and Bug Reports

Please report bugs, balance issues, broken upgrades, or strange interactions in the Discord.
Have fun, try weird builds, break the mode responsibly, and see if you can conquer the tower.
