Recently, beings of the species Pumilio lindholmus have settled in certain uninhabited areas across the globe. Why they are there is unknown, but our sources have concluded that they must be exterminated. However, as we are a small independent organization, we do not have the numbers to exterminate them, and until the government sees them as the threat that they actually are, we are turning to freelancers like you!


We at YVT are Earth's only hope to stop these menaces. If you want to defend the world, you must know a few things.

  • Missions are split into waves, the amount of which your team leader can decide.
  • Your objective is to put cores (orange orbs that are dropped by Prime Torbs) into the deposit point (the big yellow beam). Cores are what determine the success of your mission: if you cannot get the required amount of cores in before the end of a wave, your mission is considered a failure. We do not waste our time on soldiers who fail.
  • Your ammo and health regenerate at a slow pace, but can go faster with our next feature.
  • You are equipped with the ability to "swim", shrinking yourself, increasing your movement speed, and letting you climb up walls, but leaving you unable to shoot. The technology is fairly primitive and will actually slow you down when near enemies.
  • Getting killed will put you in a ball which must be shot by your teammates in order to revive you.

You must know your enemy in order to fight them. Here will be the enemies you are going to encounter on your missions.

Torb Variant Description
Torbjörn A normal Torb with medium damage and slow movement speed.
Bigbjörn A large Torb with much more health and damage than a regular Torb, but with a very slow movement speed and attack rate.
Smallbjörn A tiny Torb with low health and little damage. However, they are also very fast and attack quickly.

Be on the lookout for Prime Torbs, as these will be the ones dropping cores.

Prime Torb Description
Volcanic Totem A stationary Torb that spits lava in random directions. The lava does low damage, but covers a wide area.
Hothead Invulnerable until it is near a player, where the Hothead will then create a bomb on its head, which gradually grows until it explodes, killing any player nearby.
Facetanker Invulnerable from the front, but weak from the back. Tries to ram into you, knocking you back and doing decent damage. The Facetanker will face its attacker when it has been shot. Shooting all the armor off the Facetanker will cause it to be stunned, allowing you to go behind it and do damage.

There have been reports of a much larger enemy we have decided to call a "Sentinel". Not much is known about it, all we know is that if you see one make sure your affairs are in order, exercise heavy caution, and know that we are not responsible for any damages that will happen due to it. (SERIOUSLY CRAIG, DO NOT LEAVE THIS IN LIKE LAST TIME)


You can't defend our land if you don't have weapons! Here is your arsenal, where a random weapon will be assigned to you each wave.

Weapon Description
Wide Slicer Fires large horizontal medium-ranged explosive projectiles. Can also fire powerful vertical projectiles when charged up.
Narrow Slicer Fires horizontal short-ranged explosive projectiles. Can also fire vertical projectiles when charged up.
Dual Pistols Rapid-fire guns that have high ammo. Jumping while firing will make you dash, temporarily increasing your damage.
Airspray A short-ranged gun with an extremely high fire rate and relatively low damage.
Wind-Up Minigun Charges up in order to unleash a prolonged burst of high damage.
Arc Bomber Fires arcing explosive projectiles with decent range and high damage.
A-11097 Volatile Sniper Rifle A sniper rifle that charges up in order to fire a lethal, fast moving projectile. Hitting an enemy with a fully charged bullet will cause an explosion. Charging will activate a laser guide; a red laser indicates the projectile will most likely hit the target.
LSR-6 Smart Rifle A fast-firing gun with no spread, decent range, and high ammo capacity.
Light Arm Cannon A gun with decent range, damage, and fire rate.
Explosive Spearhead Launcher Fires a projectile that explodes after a certain distance or when hitting an enemy. Hitting an enemy directly will do more damage.
Tri-Burst Blaster A high ammo capacity gun that fires a 3-round burst of bullets.
Experimental Bomb Launcher Fires medium-damage bombs that can bounce off surfaces.

You are also equipped with a random special weapon that you can use 2 times per mission. Most of these are good for crowd control due to their big explosion areas.

Special Description
Bonjour Bomb A ball of energy that slowly charges up, but can be charged much faster by you and your teammates communicating "Hello". Once charged, you can unleash a giant bomb that does high damage over a wide area.
Crashdown Rise into the air before crashing back into the ground, dealing massive damage to enemies around you.
Charge-n-Barge Sends you speeding forward, eventually stopping to create a big explosion.
Call of Death Overclocks your swim form, making you invincible for a short duration. Jumping will deal damage to enemies near you. Pressing the swim button will charge up a dash that does high damage.

This seems familiar, isn't it like that one Splatoon gamemode?

We at YVT pride ourselves on our originality and do not copy stupid video games. That being said, yes, yes it is.

What are cores used for?

Irrelevant. What we do with cores is none of a good soldier's business.

My weapons are malfunctioning/not firing, what do I do?

Stopping the Pumilio lindholmus threat requires that we cheap out on some equipment. That being said, swimming typically recalibrates your equipment, so consider doing that.
