The bots are getting more aggressive this time around! Defender has now been revamped with updated HUD, new playable heroes with unique abilities and mechanics, additional enemy types, a new mode, and boss raids! Even with all the additions and changes, the objective of this single player game remains the same: ELIMINATE THE BOTS BEFORE THEY TOUCH YOU!

Modes

Name of Mode	Description
Classic Mode	Fight through 25 waves. This mode on *normal difficulty* is recommended for beginners learning how to play the game. As you progress, the waves get longer and bots will move and spawn faster.
Endless Mode	Bots spawn endlessly until you run out of lives. Intensity level will increase as time goes on. The higher the intensity level, the faster they spawn.
Survival Mode	Survive until time runs out.

Playable Heroes

Any ultimates used will increase number of lives by 1. You can only have a maximum of 5 lives. Hero difficulty is based on the survivability of the hero in the hardest difficulty as well how complicated their kit is.

Orisa (Hero Difficulty: Normal) [NEW]

Abilities	Description
Fusion Driver	Attacking ability. Use this to eliminate bots.
Spinning Vortex	Defending ability. Use this to defend against Junkrat projectiles. *Can eat Cassidy's Deadeye blast if facing his direction.*
Healing Missile	Healing ability. Use this to heal Winston bots.
Energy Javelin	Power move. Throw an energy javelin to deal damage and stun enemies. *Can cancel Cassidy's Deadeye and Moira's Fade*.
Terra Surge	Ultimate ability. Stop enemies in their tracks who come within 9 meters. Fully charging the ultimate will create an energy wave that stuns all enemies who are not within 9 meter.

Cassidy (Hero Difficulty: Normal)

Abilities	Description
Peacekeeper	Attacking ability. Use this to eliminate bots.
Cowboy Cloak	Defending ability. Use this to defend against Junkrat projectiles.
Rejuvenating Blast	Healing ability. Use this to heal Winston bots.
Time Splice	Power move. Shooting in the direction of the specified time will increase attack speed.
High Noon Blast	Power move. Shooting in the direction of the clock when it hits 12PM will disperse a powerful blast in all 4 directions.
Deadeye	Ultimate ability. This freezes all enemies and prevents spawning until ultimate is complete. Once complete, attack speed will be increased for 10 seconds. Can kill bosses.

Echo (Hero Difficulty: Normal)

Abilities	Description
Sticky Bomb	Attacking ability. Use this to eliminate bots.
Chronic Shell	Defending ability. Use this to defend against Junkrat projectiles.
Cure	Healing ability. Use this to heal Winston bots.
Focus Energy	Power move. Charge your energy to create a deadly, long lasting beam in any direction. Anyone who is in this beam will take damage. Bosses take continuous damage.
Metamorphosis	Ultimate ability. Gain a stat buff or effect depending on who you duplicate. Attack boost - Increases attack power. Attack speed - Increases attack speed. Defense boost - You take no damage from Junkrat projectiles as well as any bots who touch you. Excludes bosses. Swift Focus Recharge - Reduces charge time dramatically for Focus Energy as well as reducing the cooldown to 0 after beam disappears.

Symmetra (Hero Difficulty: Hard)

Abilities	Description
Photon Blaster	Attacking ability. Use this to eliminate bots. *Projectile speed and effect depending on current reality.*
Guard	Defending ability. Use this to defend against Junkrat projectiles. *This ability is only available as a passive in the Guardian reality.*
Repair	Healing ability. Use this to heal Winston bots. *Projectile speed and effect depending on current reality.*
Reality Shift	Power move. Switch realities, which can affect your abilities: Assassin Reality - Fast attack and projectile speed but unable to guard. Guardian Reality - Slow attack and projectile speed but guard passive is gained. Sorceress Reality - Slow attack speed, slow projectile speed, and unable to guard, but projectiles shoot in all 4 directions. Depletion rate is also much faster compared to other realities. When other realities are not in use, they recharge until active. WHEN REALITY METER FULLY DEPLETES IT SWITCHES TO THE NEXT REALITY AUTOMATICALLY WHICH DENIES THE PLAYER THE ABILITY TO SWITCH REALITIES FREELY. DO NOT LET YOUR METER FULLY DEPLETE!
Summoner	Ultimate ability. Gain the Summoner Reality to summon Reinhardt bots to cast Fire Strikes as well as summon Kiriko bots to cast Healing Ofuda.

Reaper (Hero Difficulty: Normal)

Abilities	Description
Shadow Blast	Attacking ability. Use this to eliminate bots.
Phantom Force	Defending ability. Use this to defend against Junkrat projectiles. *HOLD TO DEFEND.*
Soul Restoration	Healing ability. Use this to heal Winston bots.
Pain	Power move. Inflict all bots with the pain status. *Pairing this with Phantom Force will absorb ultimate charge from them as well as cause damage over time.*
Payback	Power move. Successfully defending against a Junkrat projectile will you a 50% chance of countering the enemy by continuing to hold the defend button and primary fire at the same time.
Doppleganger	Ultimate ability. Summon 2 Reaper clones to perform a Death Blossom across the entire map.

Roadhog (Hero Difficulty: Hard)

Abilities	Description
Scrap Ball	Attacking ability. Use this to eliminate bots. Fire rate will change depending on fullness level.
Pot Belly	Defending ability. Use this to defend against Junkrat projectiles.
Replenish	Healing ability. Use this to heal Winston bots. Fire rate will change depending on fullness level.
Feast	Power move. Use your hook to eat enemies and maintain your fullness meter. Fire rate of your weapon, cooldown of your hook, ultimate effect, and ultimate charge gained will depends on fullness level. Eating certain enemies will also affect how much your fullness meter will fill as well as the depletion rate. Bosses cannot be eaten. Check the enemy bots section for more information on exact values.
Hog Wild	Ultimate ability. Ultimate will change depending on the fullness level. Level 0: Push back enemies. Level 1: Stun enemies for 5 seconds. Level 2: Shoot exploding scrap balls that ricochets off of walls in all 4 directions. Level 3: Activate Whole Hog and deal massive damage.

Genji (Hero Difficulty: Normal)

Abilities	Description
Shuriken	Attacking ability. Use this to eliminate bots.
Dragon Armor	Defending ability. Use this to defend against Junkrat projectiles.
Shimada's Blessing	Healing ability. Use this to heal Winston bots.
Spirit Chain	Power move. Cast a spirit ball that usually targets the closest bots to the player, which eliminates them. The higher the chain level, the more bots that are targeted. Ultimate charge also increases substantially with higher chain levels. Getting kills increases the chain level. This ability pierces through Orisa's Fortify and Reaper's Fade.
Dragonblade	Ultimate ability. Use the blade to cast explosive projectiles that can ricochet off of walls. This ability pierces through Orisas's Fortify and deals double damage to bosses.

Moira (Hero Difficulty: Easy)

Abilities	Description
Biotic Orb	Attacking ability. Use this to eliminate bots.
Necrotic Shield	Defending ability. Use this to defend against Junkrat projectiles.
Revitalize	Healing ability. Use this to heal Winston bots.
Umbratic Discharge	Power move. Send a blast in the direction you're facing. Once it makes contact with an enemy, it will deal damage to them and the blast will become static. *Pressing the interact button after it becomes static will detonate the blast*, dealing damage to anyone who is within the radius of the blast. This ability pierces through Orisa's Fortify.
Coalescence	Ultimate ability. Fire a beam that deals damage and heals Winston bots.

Lucio (Hero Difficulty: Hard)

Abilities	Description
Sonic Amplifier	Attacking ability. Use this to eliminate bots.
Soundproof	Defending ability. Use this to defend against Junkrat projectiles.
Calm Melody	Healing ability/Power move. While in this song, you can heal Winston bots and gain ultimate charge over time. However, your attack speed is slowed. Amping this ability will heal Winston bots faster and increase the speed of the ultimate charge passive. If the ability is still on cooldown and the gauge isn't full, you can still amp up while in this song to heal Winston bots faster.
Super Bass	Power move. While in this song, your attack speed is increased and the ultimate charge passive is removed. Amping this ability will slow and stun enemies, increase gravity, and boop anyone who comes within 5 meters of the player. Excludes bosses. Reinhardt can be booped and stunned but he cannot be slowed.
Crossfade	Power move. Use this to switch between Calm Melody and Super Bass.
Blaring Beat	Ultimate abilty. Unleash a powerful soundwave that forcefully knocks enemies back, eliminating them instantly. This includes bosses.

Mercy (Hero Difficulty: Easy)

Abilities	Decscription
Blaster	Attacking ability. Use this to eliminate bots.
Light Screen	Defending ability. Use this to defend against Junkrat projectiles. Successfully defending against projectiles grants additional ultimate charge.
Saving Grace	Healing ability. Use this to heal Winston bots.
Dynamic Duo	Power move. Summon Genji behind you to perform a Swift Strike, dealing damage to anyone who crosses his path. This ability pierces through Orisa's Fortify. Bosses take double damage.
Pearly Gates	Ultimate ability. Open the gates of heaven to send pillars of light in any direction, eliminating anyone who touches this light. Bosses take double damage.

Illari (Hero Difficulty: Hard)

Abilities	Description
Solar Rifle	Attacking ability. Use this to eliminate bots. Charged shots allow you to one-tap bots. Enemies who are on fire take double damage. Also pierces through Orisa's Fortify when she is on fire.
Radiance	Defending ability. Use this to defend against Junkrat projectiles.
Solar Rifle (Alt)	Healing ability. Use this to heal Winston bots. Using this ability will interrupt charge progress of your attacking ability, so be mindful of this.
Heat Wave	Power move. Burn, slow, and lower bots defense, allowing you to one-tap anyone who is on fire without having to charge shots. This ability also disables bots abilities permenately (excludes Reinhardt). This ability turns into *Combustion* during ultimate.
Pyrokinesis	Power move. Launch a fire strike. This ability pierces through Orisa's Fortify.
Combustion	Power move. Blow up anyone who is on fire, killing them automatically. Bosses take double damage. *(DURING OVERHEAT ONLY)*
Overheat	Ultimate ability. Unleash Captive Sun blast that kills automatically as well as produce immense heat for 13 seconds, burning anyone who spawns. This immense heat takes on all the effects of Heat Wave and gives you access to the ability *Combustion.*

Brigitte (Hero Difficulty: Hard)

Abilities	Description
Whip Shot	Attacking ability. Use this to eliminate bots.
Safeguard	Defending ability. Use this to defend against Junkrat projectiles. *Hold* to defend. You can also block a Cassidy Deadeye as long as the front of your shield is facing the blast.
Repair Packs / Inspire	Healing ability. Use this to heal Winston bots. *(Inspire triggers upon hitting enemy bots.)*
Shield Surge	Power move. Kills all enemies within a 10 meter range. *Killing bots lowers the cooldown.*
Rally	Ultimate ability. Grants damage immunity to bots (excludes Reinhardt pin) and Junkrat projectiles. Bosses only take 1 life when they touch you.

Baptiste (Hero Difficulty: Normal)

Abilties	Description
Biotic Launcher	Attacking ability. Use this to eliminate bots. *BE SURE THAT ALL 3 HITS CONNECT TO THE ENEMY!*
Immortality Burst	Defending ability. Use this to defend against Junkrat projectiles.
Biotic Launcher (Alt)	Healing ability. Use this to heal Winston bots.
Exo Burst	Power move. Heals all Winston bots and stuns others (excludes Brigitte with her shield up) within a 10 meter radius. If this ability is on cooldown, you cannot stun other bots. However, you can still heal Winston bots and lower the stun cooldown with this ability.
Exo Wave	Ultimate ability. Freezes all bots and prevents spawning for 5 seconds.

Kiriko (Hero Difficulty: Easy)

Abilities	Description
Kunai	Attacking ability. Use this to eliminate bots.
Kitsune Guard	Defending ability. Use this to defend against Junkrat projectiles.
Healing Ofuda	Healing ability. Use this to heal Winston bots. HOLD to chain and heal Winston bots who are lined up.
Inflamed Chakra	Power move. Increases projectile speed and attack power. Increases ultimate charge per kill. (Increase her chakra level by getting kills to boost the effect.)
Kitsune Rush	Ultimate ability. Increases attack speed for a short duration.

Ana (Hero Difficulty: Normal)

Abilities	Description
Biotic Orb	Attacking ability. Use this to eliminate bots.
Biotic Protection	Defending ability. Use this to defend against Junkrat projectiles.
Soothing Orb	Healing ability. Use this to heal Winston bots.
Piercing Dart	Power move. Used as a quick attack. Combo with Biotic Orb for additional hit. This ability can one-tap a Moira bot as well as knock down bosses for short duration.
Nano Blast	Ultimate ability. Shoot Biotic or Soothing Orbs 4 times in all 4 directions.

Zenyatta (Hero Difficulty: Hard)

Abilities	Description
Orb of Destruction	Attacking ability. Use this to eliminate bots.
Orb of Protection	Defending ability. Use this to defend against Junkrat projectiles.
Orb of Harmony	Healing ability. Use this to heal Winston bots.
Meditation	Power move. Increases meditation gauge, making your attacks stronger. You are immune to Junkrat projectiles while meditating. *ONCE YOU STOP MEDITATING, YOU CANNOT MEDITATE AGAIN UNTIL THE MEDITATION GAUGE FULLY DEPLETES.*
Snap Kick	Power Move. Pushes enemies away who comes too close to you.
Serenity	Ultimate ability. Fully charges meditation gauge and knocks back all enemies, potentially stunning them.

Lifeweaver (Hero Difficulty: Easy)

Abilities	Description
Lotus Blast	Attacking ability. Use this to eliminate bots.
Floral Aroma	Defending ability. Use this to defend against Junkrat projectiles.
Healing Blossom	Healing ability. Use this to heal Winston bots.
Petal Trap	Power move. Set a trap. Anyone who steps in this trap will be raised up and killed. Bosses only take 3 damage from triggering this trap. *THIS BOUNCES OFF OF BRIGITTE'S SHIELD SO BE CAREFUL NOT TO USE THIS WHEN SHE GETS REALLY CLOSE TO YOU! IF THIS HAPPENS, YOU WILL TRIGGER YOUR OWN TRAP AND DIE.*
Pesticide	Ultimate ability. Set pesticide at an enemy spawn point (the direction you're facing) for 15 seconds. Anyone who is within a 10 meter distance of this pesticide or spawns in this location will die automatically. Bosses only take 4 damage.

Hanzo (Hero Difficulty: Normal)

Abilities	Description
Storm Bow	Attacking ability. Use this to eliminate bots. *HOLD* to fully charge your shot, which can pierce through Orisa's Fortify, deal triple damage to bosses, and increase Storm Arrow counter by 1. Hanzo can change direction while charging shots.
Spirit Armor	Defending ability. Use this to defend against Junkrat projectiles.
Shimada's Blessing	Healing ability. Use this to heal Winston bots.
Storm Arrow	Power move. Fully charged shots raises the counter by 1. Once the counter reaches 5, Storm Arrow will activate which allows you to fire 5 arrows in rapid succession. This also increases ultimate charge by 5% when counter reaches 5.
Divine	Ultimate ability. Targets the furthest bots from the player to deal damage/heal for a duration. Duration depends on how many storm arrows are acquired. *(5 x # of storm arrows + 5 = ultimate duration*)

Ramattra (Hero Difficulty: Hard)

Abilities	Description
Night Shade	Attacking ability. Use this long ranged attack to eliminate bots. You gain 2% ultimate charge per kill with this ability. *(OMNIC FORM ONLY)*
Pummel	Attacking ability. Use this short ranged attack to eliminate bots. This pierces through Orisa's Fortify and Brigitte's shield. Bosses take 2 damage. *(NEMESIS FORM ONLY)*
Dark Screen	Defending ability. Use this to defend against Junkrat projectiles. *Hold to defend. Your Retribution gauge increases when you successfully block Junkrat projectiles and Cassidy Deadeye. (NEMESIS FORM ONLY*)
Sympathy Orb	Healing ability. Use this to heal Winston bots.
Nemesis	Power move. Switches to Nemesis form. You are immune to incoming projectiles while coming in and out of this form. *ONCE YOU TURN TO THIS FORM YOU CANNOT CANCEL UNTIL THE ABILITY IS COMPLETELY DONE.*
Retribution	Power move. Once you block 5 projectiles and fill the Retribution gauge, you can counterattack and kill all enemies that have spawned. Bosses only take 3 damage. *(NEMESIS FORM ONLY)*
Devouring Vortex	Ultimate ability. Send all bots that come within 13 meters of you into the ground, which kills them. Bosses are immune to this ability. *(OMNIC FORM ONLY)*

Torbjörn (Hero Difficulty: Easy)

Abilties	Description
Rivet Gun	Attacking ability. Use this to eliminate bots.
Ironclad	Defending ability. Use this to defend against Junkrat projectiles.
Refresh	Healing ability. Use this to heal against Winston bots.
Overload	Power move. Slightly increase attack speed as well as increase ultimate charge per kill. You are free to use this whenever you please. However, using this ability while you are low on *stamina* will cause you to be stunned for a couple seconds.
Molten Core	Ultimate ability. Place lava around yourself for protection and deal massive damage to anyone who touches it. Also increases Overload stamina by 50%.

Enemy Bots

WAVE 3 OF NEW ENEMIES ARE HERE!

Some enemy bots move faster than others, so you must prioritize the faster moving bots or the ones that are closest to you. Learning the patterns of the bots is crucial to your survival. You cannot move freely as you can only move CLOCKWISE, making this slightly more challenging. Depending on the level or difficulty, bots will spawn, move, and shoot projectiles faster. Here are the list of bots and how to beat them:

RFM = Roadhog Fullness Meter

Bots	Priority	Description
	⭐	Eliminate him. RFM: 10% charge, slow depletion rate
	⭐⭐	Break her barrier to expose her, then eliminate her. RFM: 30% charge, moderate depletion rate
	⭐⭐	Block his projectiles by timing with your *defending ability*, or eliminate him before the projectile touches you. RFM: 25% charge, moderate depletion rate
	⭐	Fully heal him with your *healing ability.*
	⭐⭐⭐	If he pins you, he takes all of your lives which means game over. Eliminate him before he reaches you. RFM: 5% charge, slow depletion rate
	⭐⭐⭐	She is extremely fast. Eliminate her before she reaches you. RFM: 25% charge, moderate depletion rate
	⭐	Shooting her during fortify will make you lose a life. Wait until she's done using the ability, then eliminate her. RFM: 50% charge, fast depletion rate
	⭐⭐	Every time you look in his direction, he fades. Wait until he stops fading, then eliminate him. RFM: 65% charge, fast depletion rate
	⭐⭐	He jumps in the air every couple seconds. Eliminate him when he's on the ground. RFM: 45% charge, fast depletion rate
	⭐	She is invisible. Listen for a hacking sound to know when she has spawned. A purple circle will reveal her location every 1.25 seconds. RFM: 15% charge, slow depletion rate
	⭐⭐	When you damage her, she fades. Damage her twice to eliminate her. RFM: 35% charge, moderate depletion rate
	⭐⭐⭐	He will unleash Deadeye after 6 seconds. Eliminate him by hitting 2-3 times before he unleashes it! *Can be blocked with Brigitte Safeguard and Ramattra Dark Screen.* RFM: 30% charge, fast depletion rate
[NEW]	⭐	He teleports to a random spawn point on the map whenever you look at him up to a maximum of 3 times. RFM: 30% charge, moderate depletion rate
	⭐⭐⭐	Boss battle. Hit him multiple times until his health reaches 0.
	⭐⭐⭐	Boss battle. She uses her *bubble every 4.5 seconds* to protect herself. Wait until she's out of her bubble and hit her multiple times until her health reaches 0.
	⭐⭐⭐	Boss battle. Every time you damage him he switches songs. *In healing song, he heals himself. In speed song, he's slightly faster.* Hit him multiple times until his health reaches 0.
	⭐⭐⭐	Boss Battle. Every time you damage her, *she recalls to a different spawn point and her move speed fluctuates up to 160% of her initial speed*. Hit her multiple times until her health reaches 0.
	⭐⭐⭐	Boss Battle. As long as he's in his shield, he will recover his health. Destroy the shield first, then hit him multiple times until his health reaches 0.
	⭐⭐⭐	Boss battle. Every time you damage her, *she increases her movement speed.* Hit her multiple times until her health reaches 0.
	⭐⭐⭐	Boss battle. Continue to heal him until he reaches max health.

Any bot who is considered a boss will have multiple hit points. If the boss reaches you, then you lose all of your lives. While this boss battle is occurring, you still have to defend yourself against the other bots that spawn with the boss.

Workshop Settings

You can adjust the workshop settings to play how you like. When you adjust the workshop settings to your liking, be sure to restart the game so the settings you chose can be applied.

It is recommended that you don't touch the hero parameters such as health, projectile speed, damage, etc. as it is optimized to give you the best experience playing this game. ♥ WITH THAT BEING SAID, This game is perfect to play while you're in a solo queue for a game. If the server allows me, I will be adding more heroes with unique kits, more bosses, and more to spice up the gameplay.
