Modded FFA to turn 11 players versus 1 powerful magic Reinhardt boss.
6 main effects
Boss Rein has effects added to his attacks depending on the color of his randomly changing aura.
3 Common colors:
- Red - Burn
- Blue - Freeze
- Purple - Hack
3 Rare colors:
- White - Sleep
- Yellow - Damage Up
- Green - Faster
4 special passive abilities
Boss Rein has a choice between 4 special passive abilities at the cost of items. Items are collected around the map to encourage the boss to move around. Use one of the 4 comm wheel custom voicelines to gain the passive temporarily. (Default control: C -> Mouse1 middle of circle)
- Vortex - Players far away will get sucked into the boss. Long range countermeasure.
- Projectile Bomb ("Deliver") - Damaged players will fly away and explode dealing extra damage to surroundings.
- Clouds - Boss leaves damaging auras on the floor.
- Invisibility - Boss goes invisible periodically.
Other abilities
- Super Jump - Crouch to charge to 100% then Jump within 1s to use
- Super Charge - Hold shield to charge to 100% then charge
- Super Firestrike - Hold shield to charge to 100% then firestrike
Anti-environmental
Environmental kills are cheap and were the bane of most boss battles. Now that the workshop is here, we can add scripts to make it harder to envo the boss. The boss now takes a substantial amount of damage instead of dying immediately.
Other stuff
Players may press Interact (Default: F) to be exempt from becoming boss during boss picking phase. Of course if every player presses F, then it has to pick someone.
TODO List
- Bug fixes and balancing that will come with more playtime and observing.
- Add more boss abilities with different item costs.
- Add actual healing capabilities to healers to circumvent the nature of FFA.
