Trouble Hunters

Trouble Hunters has 2 distinct game modes: "Standard" and "Arena".
To choose, go to the Workshop settings and select the one you want to play.

Standard Arena
The standard way to play; slower pace, more traveling and gathering. Fight big tanky enemies with a quest based system. Fast paced, continous action, brawling multiple small enemies with mini bosses, round based.
General Game Description

Trouble Hunters is a game mode inspired by "Monster Hunter". In this mode, you play as a Trouble Hunter and fight different Troublemakers, both big and small. Each Hunter has special skills and combos to defeat these enemies. You can gather materials, earn money, and buy new gear. Choose from various quests to complete. The game is designed for replayability, so each time you play, the experience can be different thanks to a random generation system.

Note: All screenshots were captured on version 1.5.1 in the Standard game mode.

Hunters & Controls

Hunters

There are several types of Hunters to choose from. Everyone is unique in their own way and has been completely redesigned from the normal characters they once were in Overwatch.

Let's start with the 3 main types of Hunters. After that is a list of the currently playable Hunters with their difficulty and type.

Note: If a playable Hunter exists as a Troublemaker, they will become grayed out and unable to be chosen.

Hunter Types
Combo type Shooting type Role-Playing type
These are Hunters that base their kit around executing combos. These Hunters have a simple kit that relies on shooting and are less about combos. This Hunter type possesses a varied kit using SP for skills

Controls

Let's talk about controls. These controls differ significantly from those in the base game of Overwatch. Every Hunter's buttons have been rebinded to other things.

Even jumping isn't possible. Instead, you roll now. Rolling gives you a short invulnerability period to dodge attacks! And when you hold your Jump button, you begin to run!

And when pressing your "Ultimate" button, you use your currently selected Potion. You can hold this button to start selecting other Potions.

Troublemakers

Troublemakers are distinguished by their environment. On every map, you will encounter different sets of Troublemakers.

Just like the Hunters, there are 3 types.

Small Troublemakers Main Troublemakers Final Troublemakers
Small ones only spawn between quests and give materials when defeated. The Main ones are primarily seen in Quests. These are furocios and have a bigger set of attacks. Everyone acts with different patterns. The Strongest of them all. Only seen as the Final enemy in the standard game mode. These possess a lot of ways to end you, and will not fall easily.

Map & Info

The Map

Your map is very important, since a lot of information can be accessed from there, like your Hunter's controls and combo list. You can also see where troublemakers are located and where you can gather Flowers and Materials.

And during a Quest, you can then also see the team lives, and quest info on the right.

Potions & Materials

Potions

Potions are essential to Trouble Hunters. You can see your Potions at the bottom right of your screen at all times. You can choose from the regular Potion that heals to one that temporarily increases your damage output.

Potion Effect
🟩 Potion Restores health
🟥 Demon Drug Increases attack temporarily
🟧 Armor Skin Increases defense temporarily
🟨 Dash Juice Increases stamina recovery speed temporarily

Running out of Potions? No worries. You can always gather more when collecting Flowers around the Map. These get converted into a designated Potion.

Materials

Materials can be gathered either around the map or by eliminating small Troublemakers. When 3 are gathered, you will receive a random piece of equipment.

Quests

Quests always spawn with 3 varying difficulties. Each quest is randomly generated with semi-calculated rewards. Just stand inside one of your choices to start that quest. With multiple teammates, a voting system in the background will be used.

Between Quests

These are preparation phases where you can gather resources and materials to get stronger and be more ready for your next quest. Use this time wisely or jump straight to the next quest. The choice is yours.

Completing a Quest

When defeating all the listed Troublemakers within the time limit given, you will complete the quest and receive your rewards.

Failing a Quest

If you and/or your teammates lose all team lives during a quest or when the time runs out, you will fail the quest. Every time you or a teammate dies, the reward will be cut by 30%.

Shop & Gear

The Shop

Inside the Shop, you can buy and Equip Weapons and Armor. Your Attack is displayed in the middle, slightly above, and your Defense is below your Attack. These stats vary depending on what you equip.

Gear

Gear is a complex system. To unlock new gear, you need to get materials; then you need the money to buy that gear, to then be able to equip it.
Some gear comes with effects. You can see if it has any effects by checking its info.

You need to gather 3 materials to unlock one random piece of equipment.

Armor is universal and can be used by everyone.
Weapons aren't and are Hunter-specific.

When unlocking Weapons, it will always be for those Hunters you have played throughout the current session.
