Balance if MOBA
i have a balancing philosophy, this is kind of a jab on the ow2 balance team and my attempt to show yall what i think they should do to balance their game accordingly, there are 2 versions of this balancing that i made
what if FPS
and
what if MOBA
in both modes i choose a character , and balance the rest of the characters to be close to that said character
for example THIS MODE RIGHT HERE IS WHAT IF MOBA
here is my thoughts on why i did it this way:
i find the balance team in overwatch 2 hypocritical, they dont want 1 shots in the game but they leave widowmaker, Reinheart , hog and others to have their one shots
i say , take all 1. shots away OR give everyone a 1 shot or 1 shot capability...
and in this mode right here , i took away all 1 shots , no matter how easy or how useless it is , rein pin doesnt 1 shot , hog has less dmg so no 1 shot
i understand some might find alarming that Reinheart lost his 1 shot , but remember this is a what if scenario that doesnt allow 1 shots no matter what
rein pin is a fair 1 shot in the game BUT in my honest opinion if they want to nerf all 1 shots , then ALL 1 shots must be nerfed ... ALL OF THEM lol
and i understand concerns on unkillable players , and to that i say 1 thing .... IT IS , WAS , AND WILL ALWAYS BE THE SUPPORTS FAULT , SUPPORTS HEAL WAAAAAAAYYYYY TO MUCH IN NORMAL GAME
so now all supports have 50% less healing delt , and every healing ability on others are also nerfed , some are nerfed more than others , this allows low dmg to exist in normal overwatch and i strongly believe that if they NERF HEALING IN GENERAL , they can make everyone super tanky because eventually everyone dies , if you have low dmg , supreme hp and supreme healing then nothing dies , and thats the result of garbage balancing from the dev team
this mode is an attempt on fixing the unkillability on normal overwatch but still leaving tanks as tanky as they normally are , but now everyone dies eventually no matter how tough
this is to show how you should balance your games with this philosophy.
balancing tanks is very dificult in 5v5 , because you can accidentally make them super strong , or super weak , there is no in between , this is why 6v6 is the perfect format for balancing ... BUT, this is an attempt on 5v5 , and i believe i did a good job sacrificing dmg for more sustainability
