Prop Hunt
A modified version of the original Mischief & Magic arcade game.
Only available during official Mischief & Magic events!
Game rules:
- Up to 3 hunters and 9 props.
- Props can transform at any time by pressing Primary Fire.
- Game time: 5 minutes (props have 30 seconds to hide).
- Props taunt less frequently.
- Hunters slowly regenerate health over time.
- Hunters who join the game after the preparation phase will always spawn.
- Hunters can always respawn, while props can only respawn during the preparation phase.
- Props who join the game can still spawn within the first 60 seconds after the preparation phase.
- During the preparation phase, players can switch to the opposing team using the Interact key when slots are available and team balance allows.
- Props can use the Ultimate button to say “Hello” as a taunt or distraction for the Hunter.

Hello,
When putting in the code for the prop hunt game mode it gives me an error message saying (Error: Invalid Game Mode) and the game does not let me load up anything. I'm not sure if I am doing this wrong. Was trying to get a fun game mode for my family to play and your mode was the most recent one that popped up here.

You did nothing wrong, and it's correct that you will see an error message.
Prop Hunt is only available during the Mischief and Magic limited-time events, which means that Blizzard has currently disabled the mode I use for my code. It will likely return during the next Lunar New Year event in a couple of weeks, and also during the Overwatch Anniversary in September/October, and during the Winter Wonderland event in December.

There is currently a bug on blizzard world that allows props to phase through walls by attaching to the moving eagles as a long-ish object, this is similar to the lijiang exploit where you attach to the elevator to go under the map.
Would it be possible to fix this? thanks

It's fixed. Let me know if there are still issues.
I have tested it and the first one can be bypassed unfortunately, i have also noticed there are some visuals for the anti exploit thing. i will enable them for convenience
Replay code that shows me bypassing the anti exploit mechanic: F2HN14 (I only managed to bypass the first one, the other anti exploit mechanics seem to be good for now)
Edit: Forgot to mention this but there are also some very hard to kill or even unkillable god spots on some maps. i will leave replay codes that show these spots as i find them.

Good catch, I think I fixed it now. I also tried to fix the 'god spots' that you found... it's not perfect but I think it's better now?
Hopefully it will still be fixed by Blizzard as I can't make proper (invisible) walls myself. Previously Blizzard already made a lot fixes for several 'god spots' and other exploits.
The anti exploit for god spots can be bypassed, but the timing is rough.
As for the noclip exploit i was unable find a way to bypass them. hooray

You can leave these alone for now since the average player wouldn't have the skill to bypass these.
Only a VERY small group of people know these spots anyway, (except for the blizzard world pillar) so dont feel pressured to fix these, at the end of the day we are all just human after all. :D

Thanks again for the feedback. I'm aware of that, and I already tried several methods but couldn't find something that works perfectly. I could use teleport actions which works better for preventing to get inside, but that method feels very unnatural and shows too much stuttering which I didn't like. For now, it kinda works to prevent exploiting most of the time. Unfortunately, I can't create real collision barriers. Maybe when I get a better idea, I might try it again :).
Edit: I have tried a bit more with teleporting and got something I feel somewhat satisfied with. And now it's no longer possible to get pinned inside the god spot.

Why does blizzard remove prop hunt and only bring it back for limited time during events? I had soooo much fun playing this mini game HOURS were spent. I think its one of the most popular. I would enjoy playing more often.. :)
Hello! Congrats on boarding on the popular tab! I had fun playing your mode, this reminded of my fun days back in CS:GO community modes!
The only improvement that i would suggest is to not make the players wait so long spectating in order to retain them in the lobby, which could be:
For the skip the game ending part, we could use an action called: MOVE PLAYER TO TEAM to swap players.
So during the game ending, the 3 players in Team 2 will be placed into a queue to Team 1, then the first 3 players in Team 1 will be moved to Team 2, then RESTART MATCH.
Adding a feature that automatically keep the lobby slots organized would ensure more fairness to this feature. Which is automatically keep all players on top of the slots, so any newly-joined players will stay at bottom of the slots.

Because the game mode is currently disabled by Blizzard. It will still come back as time-limited events, then the game code should work again.

Can you make shift cd 0 while genji spawn doors closed? Im really tired of getting bad objects again and again
Like if match time > 300 set ability 1 cooldown 0 wait 0.016 loop if condition is true
And make some punishment for genji die, like dont respawn him instantly
I like the idea with the lower cd during the preparation phase, will change it when I'm back home tonight.
I will let Genji respawn instantly because I don't want the match to end when there is only 1 Genji and he falls in the water when there is a prop hiding on a very difficult spot above the water. I could still punish him with a stun after respawn.
You made even better code for change objects, nice!
Can you add for kirikos the way for watch other kirikocameras, its kinda common thing and its really will be good!
Something like if interact then watch kiriko slot 0, if again interact kiriko 1 etc, if reload watch your camera, that will be enough
P. S. stun after respawn can work too. I also have suspect kirikos can perma stun genji (9 kirikos when cd is only 16), but dont think people gonna do that. But you maybe can make code for prevent that if genji stays in stun for 40 seconds in arow he gets immun
Yes, I think this "new ability" with primary fire is a nice additional feature for this game mode.
As this is a time-limited game mode which will end at the 10th of August, I wouldn't spend too much time on your other requests. However, if Blizzard decides to keep this game mode available in the workshop... or bring this mode back as an arcade game at a later point in time, then I might add these requests on my to-do list.
