Description
Inspired by the Storm Rising cinematic...
New Mercy Ultimate Ability: Airlift. While in Valkyrie, get close to a teammate and press the "Interact" button to create an invisible tether between the two of you. This enables Mercy to pull her teammate anywhere she goes (including through the air) while her teammate maintains the ability to attack and use abilities and ultimates.
Airlift can be used to lift teammates out of dangerous situations, reposition teammates to hard to reach locations, or set up some interesting offensive combos (e.g. aerial bastian, junkrat from above, sneaky gravs, etc.).
Demonstration
How to Use
As Mercy...
- Use your ultimate and enter Valkyrie
- Get close to a teammate
- Aim your reticle at your teammate. You should see a halo icon appear above his/her head.
- Press "Interact". Your teammate should now have a golden aura to indicate that he/she has been tethered.
- Walk, run, fly (including GA) around. Your tethered teammate should follow.
- To disengage the tether, aim your reticle away from your teammate and press "Interact"
As a tethered teammate...
- Press "Interact" to manually disengage the tether.
