Velocity!

This code is over 6 months old. The code may have expired and might no longer function.

Velocity!

Velocity! is a game where you play as heroes that constantly gain velocity as long as they are going forward. Hit the checkpoints, earn gold medals, and try your luck to outpace the map records!

Heroes

Pharah

The baseline for the gamemode. Other characters could be considered alternate modes, so all the maps are balanced around Pharah. You lose velocity if you ever touch the ground.

Wrecking Ball

Wrecking ball can use his grapple to make tighter turns on high speeds.

Lucio

Lucio gains speed by hopping off walls after attaching to them. If he is constantly hopping off walls then he can go well beyond the velocity soft-cap. Teammate lucios can also speedboost teammates by accident, so its recommended not to play Lucio in public lobbies.

Controls

Press your interact key to reset your run. Pressing interact while crouching will reset your run and also reset your personal record number.

Maps

Each map's medals are balanced around Pharah, although i do think all the characters could get the gold medals on each map. World records are posted in the map near where you spawn if you are wanting to try to beat them. Getting speedboosted by lucio while on another character will mess with the time. Make sure to either play alone or disable lucio in your games if you are looking for medals.

Some maps may have breakable obstacles in the way, such as railings. It its recommended to take the time to break them on your first run so they stay gone for the rest of the match.

Launch Maps

Roller Coaster

on Blizzard World Morning.

A good beginner map with a simple route. Combines medium size corridors with a few tight turns.

Beyond Zero

on Kings Row Winter.

A mild difficulty map that is extremely short. Features wide open areas with quick funnel spots requiring good character placement.

Dojo

on Hanaoka.

A difficult map with very unforgiving doors, turns, and tight corridors. This map is a big longer on average and rewards good pathing.

World records are set by me and some other testers.
If you want your record in the game then send a clip of the full uncut run to zaggyzombie on discord. The clip must also include uncut footage showing the game settings to verify speed has not been tampered with. It is recommended to show the settings directly after setting a new WR.
