An attempt to rework Symmetra into a support while keeping her identity/playstyle close to what it is one live.

Symmetra

General

  • Now heals allies within 12 meters for 10 health per second

Photon Projector

  • Heals allies within 12 meters for ⅛ of the damage done
  • Healing translates to 10 healing per max orb and 5/10/15 healing per beam level (not accounting for damage boost/resistances)
  • Ammo increased from 70 to 100

Primary fire

  • Damage reduced from 60/120/180 to 40/80/120

Secondary fire

  • Projectile speed increased from 25 to 50
  • Max damage decreased from 120 to 80
  • Now deals 10 additional damage over 2 seconds to targets

Sentry Turret

  • Removed

New Ability: Photon Shields

  • Gives all allies within a 12 meter radius 50 temporary hp for 4 seconds.

Teleporter

  • Cooldown reduced from 10 to 8 seconds

I wanted to make Sym a brawler/backline defender while also giving her alternate fire some utility.

Her base aoe healing should help keep her consistent in her healing capabilities, while her Photon Projector allows her to increase her healing when in combat. The damage over time in the alternate fire gives her a way to mitigate the enemies aoe, as well as delaying any passive regeneration the enemy may have. The Sentry Turrets was removed in order to not force Symmetra to have to wait for her cooldowns. Their replacement, Photon Shields, gives Symmetra a small burst of sustain as well as a way to break her team's damage breakpoints. Her Teleporter’s cooldown was lowered to decrease its downtime.
