Dead by Overlight (Working Title)
This code is over 6 months old. The code may have expired and might no longer function.
Who knew you'd be trapped in a tower, here with nothing more than strange, mechanical hearts run by hamsters and a killer on the hunt for you. It's a terrible night awaiting you. Thankfully, it's a relief you aren't alone.
How to Play
Survivor
As Survivor, your objective is to destroy "Black Hearts", kill the Killer, then escape the tower. Only able to take two hits, any mistake can mean your death. Luckily, you come with mysterious Effigies that can return the dead back to life. But you only have so many. Make haste, for you won't last long.
Holding the Interact key on injured or downed survivors will steadily heal them over time, as long as you both stand still. If someone's dead, you can visit glowing stations to resurrect them, but at the cost of an Effigy. You cannot resurrect any longer when you've run out.
Killer
As a Killer, your role is much the opposite: kill the Survivors. Prevent them from destroying your Hearts. Without them, you won't have the protection you so bargained for.
The Survivors take two hits before they can be downed. When they are, you may hold Interact on them to perform a short, interruptible execution. While their Effigies can bring the dead back, it's only a matter of time before they all fall.
Credits
Developed over five days, this is my own take on "asymmetric boss battle" modes, with Dead by Daylight as my main source of inspiration. It attempts to use as many of Overwatch's own mechanics as it can while implementing new ones for a different sort of spin. There are plans to expand on this later to truly give it separation and make something entirely new, but for now, it plays like you might expect.
Just don't expect any pallets around here.
