Fricking Run Away From Gigachads!

Fricking Run Away From Gigachads!: THE CHAD HAS ARRIVED!

Before reading anything, this mode was heavily inspired, if not the same format as RTFA but with my own take on things and how I've wanted to design RTFA. RTFA is Run The F*** Away for short. Please check it out too ([RMSMM] is the code for RTFA). This mode is a contribute to that community with different mechanics, different ideas, different balancing philosophies, and much more.

Version 1.0.1

Made by Minutez#11355 AKA Minz#11544 (more known as Minz's inside of Overwatch though)

Helped out by rattickler#11147, Belyak#1538

Mauga: HELLO YOU FELLOW NERDS, WELCOME TO MY GIGACHAD DOMAIN! ALL THE MINICHADS AND GIGACHADS ARE COLLECTED IN MY REALM.

All seriousness though, this is the official workshop page for Fricking Run Away From Gigachads!

What's this game about?

  • The Concept is VERY simple! If you're on the Gigachad (or Hunters as another term, for RTFA players), you must chase down and kill all survivors! Be very careful, however, as some runners have the ability to kill you, or use a form of crowd control. This will make it extremely hard, so be extra cautious! To help out with this, all gigachads have the ability to perform a super jump and double jump, however, hazard is the only gigachad who has a longer cooldown for superjump (being 16s instead of 7s!)
  • The opposite of the Gigachads will be the Runners. As a runner, you must survive until the time reaches zero or the hunters die in any form of way! All runners will have SPECIAL gimmicks, so PLEASE mess around and try your best with each runner before assuming you understand how they work in the first couple of seconds (unless you played RTFA :P)! There is a special case however for one certain minigame where you actually can't survive via time and have to kill BUT that will be explained later!

Gigachads, Minigames, and Last Man Standing Mechanic!

All of the playable Gigachads

gigachads description
MaugaTHE Gigachad The one and only original popular Chad, THE GIGACHAD! This is a beast that's meant to be known! He can ultilize his melee as his main way of attacking. He can fire his primary fire when he is using his ability 2 as well. Damage is increased slightly during solo. This Gigachad type is an all-round style, making him good for the most part in most situations.
ReinhardtThe Unclechad This old boy is the original chad (reference to how he's the main Hunter in RTFA currently). Don't mess the Unc! The most basic kit that is close and accurate and untouched for the most part! He does the most damage with his overall abilities/primary fire, making him super effective. This Gigachad type is an all-round style, making him good for the most part in most situations.
HazardThe Scottishchad This blolk is aggressive! Watch out for his spikes and dangerous things, ya feel me mate? His mobility and fast movement makes him really hard to avoid for most runners. His jump height is higher than normal, though his gravity is higher, making him airborne being way worst for him. His secondary fire will be his main way of dealing damage, and if he can't use it, melee is the next option. His ability 1 damage is heavily reduced, meaning it won't really be effective in terms of killing but is great to land it upon using your secondary fire right afterwards. his wall is only enabled during solo as well too (enabled always during the minigame maps). This Gigachad type is an high-mobility style, making him effective in certain areas but lacks potentional kill power and the ability to strike airborne runners.
WinstonThe Monk—wait why is WINTON here?! WINTON!

All playable minigame-style maps!

minigame type description
Gigachads Versus Super Sayian "The chosen one will fend and survive against two gigachads... Who will come out on top. FIND OUT NEXT TIME ON DRAGON BALL Z!" One runner is selected as the Super Sayian, while all other runners die off instantly, causing it to be a 2v1 or 1v1. Can you survive against the Gigachads?!
Gigachads Versus Minichads "Long long ago, Minichads use to run wildly, until the Gigachads attacked!" This mode, there IS NO TIMER! It's a all-out brawl, a fight to the death! 2 Gigachads versus 10 Minichads. Gigachads have a increased damage modifier to make up for the lack of room to dodge. Who will win?

Last Man Standing!

  • One Versus One (only two players in lobby, one Gigachad, one Minichad)
    • If the lobby is already just two people, the Last Man Standing will still active with the text and everything, only difference is that the timer won't be as short.
  • Last Runner Remains!
    • When there is one Runner remaining, the timer is reduced to a set match time, regardless of how much time exists already. This mechanic is designed to make it more fair for the runners to win if they die really fast, early on.

All of the mechanics!

runner/hero description
Melee All heroes can Melee to knock up the Gigachads, however, this has a invisible cooldown with a sound indicator when ready!
Domina Primary fire now pushes away gigachads.
Doomfist Landing Power Block boosts you up in the air and resets Rocket Punch + Seismic Slam cooldowns but also increases it's own cooldown to 30s. Ultimate automatically resets all ability cooldowns upon use, instead of having to wait.
Junker Queen Carnage does massive damage + knockback to gigachads, along with reducing Commanding Shout's cooldown.
Mauga Cage Fight now revives if used near a dead teammate, but in the process of doing so, sacrifices yourself.
Orisa People can now ride you (ride Orisa with the keybind of Crouch + Melee)! Orisas can double stack ride on top of each other as well too. Orisa's speed while walking is reduced due to the weight above her head. The orisa can yeet people with Reload. Terra Surge now hacks and launches up damaged gigachads.
Ramattra Primary fire now gives cooldown reduction to Nemesis, as Nemesis' cooldown is increased. Ravenous Vortex now roots slightly to damaged gigachads.
Reinhardt High base damage (200%). Barrier Field will make you way more heavier. Charge flings people upon cancellation or when hit against a wall. WILL NOT fling people if hit against a invisible wall however (the invisible walls off the map). Fire Strike upon damanging a gigachad, will spike them down, great to use over voids.
Roadhog Chain Hook no longer works if used on a gigachad. Chain Hook now acts as a grappling hook, must be used within range on a wall. Chain Hook can be spammed but takes 100 damage everytime per use. Roadhog's healing received is reduced to compensate for these changes.
Sigma Experimental Barrier now acts as a boost in the direction used. Kinetic Grasp allows you to no-clip through walls, with 1s endlag (freeze).
Wrecking Ball The option to switch between Rolling is now replaced by an ability. Any method of entering Roll form activates a duration of 8s, with a 16s cooldown. Piledriver is only actionable during Roll form.
Ashe Dynamite explodes instantly, damaging yourself increases your speed, but be careful!
Bastion Primary fire reduces Reconfigure's cooldown. Reconfigure now transforms you into a plane, allowing you to free-fly!
Cassidy Combat Roll distance is increased in the air specifically, you can utilize slopes to launch yourself higher up. High Noon's mechanic is now replaced with a Machine Gun. Each shot during Machine Gun hacks for 1s and roots the gigachad in place for 0.1s.
Echo Focusing Beam now lowers the gravity of a damaged gigachad for 2s.
Freja Damaged gigachads are knocked down for 2s and launched to the sky.
Hanzo Any form of damage now knocks back gigachads away. Successful hits with Sonic Arrow resets Storm Arrows cooldown. Storm Arrow now gives increased speed upon use, but cannot climb walls during this.
Mei Cryo-Freeze makes you float up in the air until the duration is over. Pressing Crouch during the Cryo-Freeze's duration performs a ground pound, freezing any nearby gigachads and launching them up in the process.
Reaper Wraith Form now makes you completely invisible during use, however, speed is reduced with endlag of 1s (freeze). Shadow Step has invincibility during the wind-up part and less endlag when teleporting to a spot. Death Blossom now resets Wraith Form's cooldown.
Sojourn Distruptor Shot now roots slightly to damaged gigachads.
Sombra Virus now hacks damaged gigachads. E.M.P. increases speed for 2s when used.
Soldier: 76 Sprinting now inflicts damage over time during use. The damage can be healed with Biotic Field, be careful!
Symmetra Spamming primary fire will increase speed slightly per shot done (cannot be held down). Don't break your mouse!
Torbjörn Turret is now replaced with LET'S GO GAMBLING!. LET'S GO GAMBLING! will randomly choose between a bunch of different choices, some are good, some are bad. If you get REALLY lucky, you become the one and only, BIGJÖRN!
Tracer Melee stun affect is increased slightly to make her more bareable.
Venture Burrow's exit speed is increased. Tectonic Shock launches damaged gigachads up.
Widowmaker Successful scoped shots now reduce Grappling Hook's cooldown, along with a boost upwards in the air. Venom Mine going off now increase your speed. Infra-Sight now turns yourself invisible.
Ana Biotic Grenade boosts yourself in the opposite direction now, landing with move on a gigachad too will freeze them, but slightly increase your cooldown in the process. Nano Boost functions differently: Freezes nearby Gigachads upon use instantly.
Baptiste Crouch speed is the same as walking/running. Regenerative Burst launches nearby gigachads away from you.
Illari Healing Pylon now activates and breaks instantly, but Roots nearby gigachads for 1s.
Lifeweaver Primary fire now roots slightly per shot.
Lúcio Has a limit of max Wall Jumps (4 being the limit), holding onto walls still drains Wall Jumps and is naturally slower in the process too. Sound Barrier now jumps up higher.
Mercy Depending on the workshop setting chosen, Resurrect has will have some drawback. Resurrect is a one-time use ability per round too, and Resurrecting a Mercy too will disable their own Resurrect, even if they haven't used it yet.
Moira Healing Orb creates a field that increases Jump Height. Damage Orb increases cooldown of Ability 2 to damaged gigachads.
Zenyatta Primary fire has slight knockback now. Now has a new ability called Float. Holding Jump in the air will make you float for a duration of 3s with no cooldown.
