Proof-of-concept workshop mode I plan on remaking into a full game. Please point out any bugs and give as many suggestions as you need. Thanks!
Also would like to mention: This is a Co-Op gamemode. If you don't have anyone to team up with, you can go into the editor and enable the debug functions at the top.
Alternatively, you CAN go solo, but you'll probably die. A lot.
tried it again today and the results are... pretty good but i also got a lot of feedback for this.
bugs:
1a. sometimes the ball does not move when spawned and when it changes hero which also prevents the new enemy from moving as well in some occasions
1b. bots get stuck a lot but is expected - ideas:
Maybe try setting up a sideways movement for the bots when stuck or just teleport them to the nearest spawn point where the nearest player is to them -> ( not really recommended because it looks scuffed unless you can pull it off somehow with the enemies being hidden when teleporting)
fighting enemies feedback:
2a. the only different type of variation when a bot spawns is this "elite unit" using more abilities and having more health makes sense however, the hack effect doesn't fit as it looks like the omnic is weak because thats what hack does to them... maybe use a skull icon with the bot having a burning or nano effect.
another part of this issue is there is only one variation. i know a variation that can make fighting enemies better:
MUTATION - enemies get a random buff like increase size, speed, damage, health, etc just like zombie survival missions.
2b. the enemies don't react to any mega damage (kinda makes sense due to their low health when i was playing solo but still) which makes me as a player feel like i'm not rewarded enough with the action i have done so here are some suggestions:
. stun after reaching half hp for weak units ( bastion and ball )
. if the bot loses a lot of hp in one hit causes itself to be knocked down and pushed to a distance
. damage signs for enemies when they reach certain hp.
gameplay feedback:
feels short but of course this is wip.
looks like a zombies game yet with its simple nature, it feels fun to play.
There's a weird bug for when you get blown up by wrecking ball, if you get blown up and you respawn you still get damaged when you get out of spawn, could you make it so that it stops damage over time once you die?
