The Workshop at the launch of Overwatch 2 Last updated October 10, 2022
If you're reading this you likely have just one question; Is the Overwatch Workshop available in Overwatch 2? To keep the answer short; No, the Workshop is not available yet, it is planned to be released at a later time. When this might be is not yet known. But it's not all bad. Workshop codes that were generated in Overwatch 1 will still be able to be imported in Overwatch 2. Custom games are still available along with all the settings you were used to in Overwatch 1. You can still generate new Codes using just Custom Games Settings.
You can still edit your scripts by copy pasting outside of the game in to a text editor. You can do this by pressing the Copy button inside of the custom games setting. This will copy all settings (including any Workshop code) to your clipboard. Paste in any text editor and edit your code. Copy it, go back to Overwatch, and press the orange paste button in the same location as the copy button. Currently error reporting is limited so your success might vary. To help you fix any error check out https://workshop.codes/wiki/articles/ow2+workshop+changes to see what has changed in the Overwatch Workshop in Overwatch 2.
It should be noted that Overwatch 2 brings a lot of balance and gameplay changes. While your Workshop Code may work well in Overwatch 1 it may very well be possible that your code no longer works as you intended. If this is the case you can not update your code using the in-game editor. You will need to edit your scipt in a text editor outside of the game.
