3/27/21 Update Log

This update is a cleanup and Soul Skill balancing update

Workshop Settings

  • Got rid of Flawless+, Act Fast, and Ult. Link because they were very buggy

4 Fun

  • Added a new option, 4Fun!
  • Only option currently in it is rainbow borders for enemies and how fast the colors change.

Big Soul Skill changes

  • Soul Skill earn levels are changed to the following:

Third Eye / Settle Down / Air Pressure / No Extras are now available at level 5
Moonstruck / Curious Medicine / Soul Aura / Eject are now available at level 8

SOUL SKILL CHANGES

Third Eye

  • Now does a flat +30 damage instead of multiplying it by x0.5

Settle Down

  • Healing increased from 6 every 0.26 to 25 every 0.7

No Extras

  • Reload animation must be completed to receive armor
  • Increased armor cache from 10-30 to 15-40

Moonstruck

  • No longer requires LoS

Soul Aura

  • Soul Aura explosions now briefly stun enemies (0.2) instead of damaging them
  • Time between each explosion increased from 2.2 to 5
  • Reduced Pure Souls on death from 10 to 3

Eject

  • Cooldown decreased from 20 to 16
  • Now gives player 100 temporary armor after teleporting them

Soul Shed

  • Decreased Pure Souls on kill cache from 2-5 to 1-3

Purity Shield

  • Knockback resistance reduced from -100% to -50%
  • Movement speed reduction decreased from 80% to 100%
  • Now adds 25 armor to your health every second until you're at or over 900 HP instead of adding 400 base armor.

Titan's Wrath

  • Constant damage taken increased from 10 to 25
  • Stat multipliers are now all 200% instead of double the level 15 stat boosts.

3/21/21 Update Log

Yay I've added some Workshop Settings >:)) Here's what it does:

CONFIGURATION

  • Enable or disable Soul Skills at the press of a button.
  • View the server load while you're playing Havana Escape.

CHALLENGES
Scrapped content from Blizzard World Esc. has made its way to Havana Escape, challenges from it's Blizzard World counterpart along with 3 new ones >:))

Flawless: A true test of teamwork, one death = game over

Flawless+: The ULTIMATE test of teamwork, take a tick of damage = game over

Ult. Link: HP is now Ult. Charge, taking damage instead gets rid of ult charge and at 0 ult charge you die. (Using ult. puts charge down to 50% instead of 0)

Otherworldly: Gravity is drastically reduced but enemies jump a lot when they're on the ground.

Act Fast: 5 minute timer, getting a kill adds 25 seconds
As One: Players 2, 3, and 4 are merged into player 1

Update 3/21/21 Log

Yay I put in Workshop settings! Here's some stuff you can do with 'em:

CONFIGURATION

Only 2 settings for now, the first is to enable or disable Soul Skills and the second is to view the server load.

CHALLENGES
Now for the exciting part! Challenges were cut content from Blizzard World Escape but now they're in Havana Escape! Challenges can be mixed and matched to your hearts content but don't expect it to be easy.

FLAWLESS and FLAWLESS+

Flawless is a true test of teamwork. If one player dies it's back to the start game button.

Flawless+ is for real masochists and/or perfectionists. If one player takes a SINGLE TICK of damage it's game over.

Ultimate Link trades your health for ultimate charge. Instead of taking damage you lose ultimate charge and at 0 ultimate charge you die. Using your ultimate leaves you at 50% instead of 0 ultimate charge.

Otherwordly decreases the gravity to a whopping 15%, but enemies know too and jump when they're on the ground.

Act Fast ups the pace of the game by reducing the match timer to 5 minutes. Every kill ups the timer by 25 seconds.

As One Players in slots 2, 3, and 4 are merged into Player 1. If Player 1 dies everyone dies.

QoL Update Log 3/18/21

GENERAL

  • Scaled enemy stats across the board for difficulty
  • You now must punch the door to begin the game rather than standing at it

SHRINE OF DECAY

  • Resurrected players are now teleported to the shrine they got resurrected by
  • You can now hold INTERACT (F by default) to spend 3 Pure Souls to heal up your team

SOUL SKILLS

GENERAL

  • Soul Skills now only require 1 button held for 1 second as opposed to a button combination

NEW: NO EXTRAS
Reloading with spare ammo in your clip gives you 10-30 temporary armor.

Settle Down

  • Healing buffed from 4 every 0.4 -> 6 every 0.26

Soul Aura

  • Explosion rate increased from every 2.35 -> 2.20
  • Explosion damage increased from 20 -> 50

Insane Mode

General
The Souls (not pure) you collect to progress through the game now goes down by 5 every minute.

Enemies
Enemy stats increase every minute, but in Insane Mode this is halved to 30 seconds.
The stat boosts they gain are much more significant an Insane Mode
+130% Damage -> 165% Damage
200% Max HP -> 250% Max HP
130% Mov. Speed -> 150% Mov. Speed

2 Mini-bosses are now found roaming the Havana floors
These two are the "Plaguebringer" and "Dwelling Giant"

Mini-Bosses
There will probably be more Mini-Bosses added into the game as time goes on.
When the first 2 enemies get stat boosts they also turn into Mini-Bosses.
Dwelling Giant
The Dwelling Giant is a massive and bulky enemy that can brash through walls.
Plaguebringer
The Plaguebringer is a vile enemy that heals its fellow enemies no matter where they are.

3/2/21 Update

GENERAL

  • The right door in the spawn room can now be used to swap heroes
  • Kills required to turn on teleporter switch doubled from 100 -> 200
  • Teleport switch charge rate reduced from from 0.8 ps -> 0.7 ps
  • Escape timer reduced from 45 -> 40
  • If enemies hit you while the escape timer is active, you get rooted for 3 seconds (Curious Medicine reduces this to 1.75 but doesn't negate it)
  • Enemy stats now go up depending on time instead of progress towards activating the teleporter switch

Developer Comment: I wanted to make the escape phase more intense and demanding now that Soul Skills are in play. Hopefully this'll make the last part of the game more exciting. I also doubled the kills required so that players get to play more with Soul Skills which were usually unusable before the game ends.

LEVELING

  • EXP per kill raised from 1 -> 1-2
  • Lowered Pure Soul cache from 4-8 -> 2-5

Developer Comment: I wanted to make leveling easier so that skills are more accessible. Lowering the Pure Souls gained from leveling will balance it out since you'll be leveling up more easily now.

SOUL SKILLS

Soul Aura

  • Explosion cooldown raised from 1.25 -> 2.35
  • Explosion damage reduced from 90 -> 20
  • Now requires LoS
  • Dying no longer makes a large explosion

Developer Comment: The ability to hit through walls and deal massive damage made Soul Aura an extremely strong ability that could kill enemies in 2 bursts. These nerfs will make Soul Aura a more supportive ability to make killing faster rather than a cheap kill confirm.

Toxic Pours

  • Removed for now and will be replaced with a new Soul Skill eventually

Developer Comment: Toxic Pours was a pretty broken ability and I think it can be replaced with a new balanced and cooler one.

Settle Down

  • HPS increased from 5 HPS -> 15 HPS
  • User must be on the ground to heal

Developer Comment: Settle Down was an incredibly weak ability compared to the other Level 4 Skills so I buffed it to keep it more reliable.

Titan's Wrath

  • Reduced healing received from 15% -> 0% (Shrine of Decay still heals)
  • Lowered size from 2 -> 1.6
  • User now constantly takes 10 DPS when Titan's Wrath is unlocked.

Developer Comment: I want to keep Titan's Wrath a fun ability to use but not too powerful. Hopefully these changes keep Titan's Wrath fun and fair.

Soul Skills

Here they are! The text that looks like this tells you how to unlock the skill.
I'll also give some helpful notes on each one >:)))
If you think something needs to be rebalanced or changed comment it and I'll see what I can do

Level 4

Ability 1 + Primary Fire Third Eye: Headshots deal (+55) extra damage.

Tip: Very strong on heroes with fast firing weapons that aren't Bastion's turret gun

Ability 2 + Primary Fire Air Pressure: Double Jump (If Genji or Hanzo, the second jump is bigger)

Tip: Helpful for immobile heroes or if you're trying to manage your escape ability cooldown

Secondary Fire + Primary Fire Settle Down: Hold Crouch to slowly heal yourself

Tip: Helpful for heroes without self sustain Even if your hero isn't crouching you will still heal

Reload + Primary Fire Toxic Pours: Take +35% damage, but enemies that hit you take damage that stacks up infinitely until they die.

Tip: Good for heroes with high sustain that can cover up the +35% damage weakness.

Level 10

Ability 1 + Primary Fire Moonstruck: Enemies are stunned and teleported to you when you use your ultimate.

Tip: Great for basically every ultimate except for Healers

Ability 2 + Primary Fire Curious Medicine: Become immune to stuns

Tip: Very helpful if the enemy lineup is filled with stuns and annoying junk

Secondary Fire + Primary Fire Soul Aura: +10 Pure Souls when you die, and at max health you release an aura that hurts enemies.

Tip: A niche skill that requires some teamwork to make use of the amazing +10 half of the ability.

Reload + Primary Fire Eject: When on low health, instantly teleport to a teammate and get fully healed. Has a 20 second cooldown.

Tip: Another niche ability. Helpful for if you like to throw yourself into the enemy and return in one piece.

Level 15

Ability 1 + Primary Fire Soul Shed: When you get a kill you get the following bonuses: Cooldowns reset, Full ammo, +15% Ultimate Charge, and 2-5 Pure Souls.

Tip: A huge ability for if you're carrying your team. The 2-5 Pure Souls on kill is a very strong part of the ability so make sure you're not dying a lot (or have some defensive skills) if you use this skill.

Ability 2 + Primary Fire Purity Shield: +400 Armor added to your health, -30% movement speed (back to default), Gain an immunity to knockback

Tip: A very defensive ability which can be huge for heroes with self sustain and don't needmobility to pop off. (Works well with Settle Down)

Secondary Fire + Primary Fire Soul Spire: If an enemy is nearby you drain Pure Souls out of them.

Tip: You can farm the heck out of enemies with this ability. I made this skill so that you can still get Pure Souls without having to level up which usually takes 40+ kills at that point. So use this wisely because there are no benefits to this Skill outside of getting free souls.

Reload + Primary Fire Titan's Wrath: Double ALL level 15 stats as if you were level 30. Doubles your size. HOWEVER you only receive 15% of all healing.

Tip: You probably shouldn't use this in a cramped space. This is a VERY HEFTY skill with huge upsides and a huge downside. Pair this ability with heroes that can block, reduce, or negate damage because you won't be getting much healing. The better you are at sustaining yourself the more uptime you get as a Titan.

2/20/21 Update

GENERAL

  • Escape timer reduced from 45 -> 40

BALANCE

Roadhog

  • Damage nerfed from 90% -> 70%
  • Proj. Speed nerfed from 16% -> 9%
  • Take a Breather cooldown increased from 7 -> 10
  • Roadhog now does no damage during his ultimate
  • Roadhog's ultimate knockback increased from 100% -> 500%
  • Roadhog hack hock duration decreased from 6 -> 3.5
  • Respawn timer increased from 10 -> 13

Developer Comment: The current Roadhog/Steampunk Abomination is really strong and boring. I'm hoping these changes make him more fair and fun to fight against.

Reaper

  • Stun duration when hit increased from 8 -> 12
  • Max health reduced from 200% -> 150%
  • Movement speed reduced from 100% -> 65%

Developer Comment: Reaper got very annoying especially because he got extreme bulk late game with stat boosts and it doesn't help that his teammates will protect and heal him. Hopefully these changes make it more fair and fun to fight against.

Torbjorn

  • Damage reduced from 115% -> 85%

Developer Comment: As hilarious as I think it is to see Torbjorn run up to his turret to be a meatshield unfortunately since the turret doesn't miss shots and its damage was above default it got INSANE mid to late game. Hopefully this makes it less of a threat early game.

Zenyatta

  • Movement speed reduced from 155% -> 134%

Developer Comment: With the late game enemy speed boost modifiers Zenyatta would fly in, deal damage and immediately teleport away with insane speed. I want Zenyatta to stay like this because I can't stop laughing at it but I decreased it so it didn't get too annoying.

Update Log

GENERAL

  • Added Soldier:76 and Sombra as enemies!
  • Soldier:76 steals ultimate charge when he deals damage
  • Sombra's hack deals damage but she doesn't attack

  • Levels now cap at 10 -> 12

ESCAPE PHASE

  • There is now a timer to the escape phase (60 seconds)
  • All enemies get extreme boosts during escape phase

BUG FIXING

  • Too many to count tbh
