Big Update!

Monster Rework - Stamina + Blindness

The monster now has a stamina bar.

Actions such as attacking and leaping will drain this bar. Once the bar is empty, you will not be able to leap and will have reduced movement speed. You can still attack while out of stamina, but your bar will not recharge until you stop performing actions for a while.

Your ultimate will now grant you infinite stamina for a short while!

Status effects 'Stun' and 'Sleep'

Now, whenever the monster is stunned by a flashbang or slept by a sleep dart, there will be a cloud that helps to obscure the monster's vision, making it more difficult for them to track survivors while having these effects.

Survivor rework - Eye visual + Heartbeat rework

The Eye that shows whether your playermodel is visible is now next to your targeting reticule.

This will make it easier for players to know when they can be seen or not. Also it just looks better.

The heartbeat system now sounds better and scarier, and the transition between speeds works smoother.

Misc

IMPORTANT!!

Now that this game uses workshop addons, you CANNOT increase the playercount, or the game will bug and not work properly!

Included are a bunch of small updates, bug fixes, and quality of life changes.

If you are going to modify the game...

PLEASE credit me, say in the description that the game is modified, Don't rip my game off. The game, 'Monke See, Monke Kill' is an example of someone that took my code and claimed it as their own. This game is the original, not the other way around.

BUG FIXES

-Fixed a bug where the game would not end if the monster leaves or is removed from the game.

HERO CHANGES

Mercy:
After using guardian angel, mercy cannot use the ability again until touching the ground. This prevents a team of mercies from flying into the air and remaining there out of reach.

Mcree:
His ult now stuns the monster breifly.

Hanzo:
Removed storm arrows, increased lunge distance and reduced cooldown.

HERO CHANGES

-Mcree's flashbang now on longer cooldown
-Flashbang stuns for a total of two seconds
-Reduced roll cooldown

-Tracer's ult now knocks the monster down

-Genji's dash cooldown increased to 16 seconds

-Hanzo's sonic arrows are at 50% cooldown
-Hanzo's lunge distance increased and cooldown decreased

-All heroes now move faster while crouched

THE MONSTER

-Knockback increased on attacks
-Made it less likely for the monster to glitch and repeatedly fall off cliffs
-Reduced the time that Roar knocks survivors down to 1 second.

GAME MECHANICS

-If your hero is in LOS of the monster for too long, they will let out a short audio cue (hacked for 0.1 seconds), alerting the monster to their position.

PREGAME
-At the beginning of each game, there is a 30 second period that the monster is asleep. During this time survivors can hide.
-There is now a basic explanation of how to play at the pregame for both survivors and the monster.

-Made the messages smaller, the ones telling you to get your butt in match chat cuz its more fun. Seriously, do it. Even if you have no mic.

BUG FIXES

I fixed a bunch of stuff in the game and generally cleaned up the code a bit, but here are just a few more notable changes.

-Fixed the game not calling victory for the monster if the last living players have not spawned yet.
-Fixed it so people who dont pick a hero before the monster is released are marked as late arrivals and will not be permitted to spawn.
-Fixed a bug that would cause survivors to move at half speed if holding primary fire.

I might have missed a few things in these patch notes, but this covers the noteable stuff.

Changes
-Upped the time added per survivor to 30
-Lowered the minimum base time survivor time is added onto to 160
-Removed Mercy's regeneration ability.
-Made it so the monster is completely invincible. People can no longer kill it.

Bug Fixes
-Fixed a bug where holding primary as survivors would slow you down like the monster.

If you are too close to the monster, you become revealed.

  • Shrunk the radius you are revealed from 3 to 2.
  • Made it so the radius is detected from the eye level as well as from the foot level. This will make it easier for the monster to see people that could be hiding directly at eye level with it.
