Update Log for Sleep 'N Yeet (17)

  • New Random Names for Bots
    • See if you get all the references!
  • Ultimate activation and usage has some new visual flair.
  • Updated extra map visuals.
    • Workshop Island (Night) fog has been reduced.
    • Workshop Chamber has been reworked from a scuffed hot air balloon to a more resourceful, but still scuffed, flimsy sky tower.
  • Updated pickup ring movement to update every frame.
  • Bots now will spawn up to 12 (assuming there are no players) by default.
  • Adjusted Bot behavior slightly.
  • Updated HUD slightly.
  • Fixed bug that prevented a player from picking up other sleeping players if originally carried by a disconnected player.
  • Converted entire source code base to OSTW script.

Bug Fix:

  • Sometimes the leader status can still get unsynced (if leader disconnects, there was a chance it was given to the wrong person if they were in the lobby longer). The bug fix should now prevent that.

Additions:

  • Added a new map: Workshop Chamber. You may be wondering, how does it work? Well, this map was turned into a hot air balloon basically, and in addition to the cosmetic effects that make it look like one, everyone spawns at the top of the stage.

Changes:

  • Spawn systems has been reworked. Functionally, players should not notice too much of a difference. It was redesigned for the sake of the new map, since players had to be teleported at spawn. This spawn system attempts to spawn players as far away as possible.
  • Leader. The leader (whoever is in first place) has been changed to be more accurate. So this is kinda of a bug fix, but the leader now has a yellow outline instead of a yellow aura, and the leader has a yellow circle instead of a red one. The leader not is bug fixed to match whoever it actually in first place (before certain conditions would make it inaccurate).
  • The in-world text and HUD look a bit different.

Bug Fixes:

  • Leader status should be accurate now.

1.3.2 Changes:

  • Bug fixed an issue with bots and automatic issues from the result of an Overwatch Workshop bug.
  • Bots should work again.

Additions:

  • More workshop settings: Now there are way more settings, more quality of life to wacky! I am too lazy to list them all, so go check them out for yourself!
  • More workshop settings for bots: Now, you can customize the bot behavior. Good if you want to train a bit.

Changes:

  • Bot AI has been adjusted in several locations to adapt to different workshop settings.
  • Ana rules have been adjusted to adapt to workshop settings.
  • Now bots will stack players if the sleeping players are in route.
  • HUD has been edited to make it more clear and concise what is going on.
  • Translation credit has been added for Simplified Chinese language.
  • Updated localization files.

Bug Fixes:

  • Bots now rarely will go to the center of the map and get stuck.
  • Small message "0 has escaped" should no longer be a thing.

Script Changes:

  • Entire project has been converted to OverPy code.
  • More comments have been added to each rule to make it more clear.

Finally, another update for Sleep 'N Yeet!

Additions:

  • Community requested feature player stacking is here!
    • What this means that players can now pick up multiple players at a time, and throw multiple players at a time. All the players thrown will count towards the throwing players score.
    • It also doesn't just stack players in the same spot; it stacks players on top of each other.
    • If a player lower on the stack escapes, all the other players above them also escape!
    • If a player gets slept, all the players stacked will drop.
  • New Visual Effects:
    • There are rings that indicate the pick up radius for a sleeping player.
    • There ire gold sparkles around the player in the lead.
  • There is new HUD information:
    • The HUDs have been changed to indicate input binds instead of default keybinds.
    • There is a new AI Enabled hud that tells player how many bots are currently in the match. (Currently not translated, but hopefully will soon)
    • There is a new News HUD that will pop up time to time. When the news is old I will update the code to remove that HUD text. Make sure to copy from code than preset to ensure the latest updates!
  • New Workshop setting values!
    • These allow the average player to adjust gamemode specific values from the lobby settings menu.
    • There is a general section that has:
      • Pickup radius (rings will also adapt to the value)
      • Ultimate charge per elimination.
      • Auto Escape
      • Sleep Duration
    • There are bot values that can be adjusted.
      • Bots enabled/disabled.
      • Max bots that spawn (depending on the players currently in the match)
      • Bot inaccuracy range.
    • Debug HUD

Changes:

  • Sleep duration is manually applied when the player is put to sleep.
  • Sleep spam reset has changed. Instead of giving ultimate charge, the player respawns.

Potential Bugs:

  • Sometimes the player might get stuck on top of a player and cannot escape. However, using a sleep dart on the player carrying them can reset that.

Changes:

  • Added anti-sleep spam counter measure. (If the player is constantly slept by a bunch of bullies, he will eventually get his ult to wake up)

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed pick up player across map bug
  • Fixed UI indicating to pick up player from anywhere on map

Script:

  • Organized more strings under the language rules
  • Added disable inspector recording for increased performance
  • Added more rules/conditions to help optimize certain rules and AI patterns.

Changes:

  • Found an embarrassing bug that no one caught until now, fixed where you can wake from sleep at any ult charge.
  • Since crashes seemed to happen with AI, I reduced how many AI actually spawn. Now, there is a limit of 8 when there are less than 8 players. If there are more, all AI should be gone.
  • Renamed to Sleep 'N Yeet because it sounded better.
  • Added another attempt to prevent triple stacking.

Changes:

  • Added simplified Chinese support (it is a separate rule that must be enabled).
  • Code used for Chinese language is updated by the user Zesty, who is also responsible for the translation.
  • The code is for the Chinese servers of Overwatch, so the simplified Chinese code in game does not work on most servers.

  • Changed how players drop carried players while sleeping (should be more optimized and hopefully result in less crashing when AI are present).

  • AI now has an inaccuracy constant.
  • If you press the ult button while asleep, you will immediately awaken and use ult.
  • Mode renamed.
  • Bug (hopefully) fixed: Now triple stacking shouldn't be a thing.
