Update v12.4 - Zombardier Update

  • Zombardiers, The Maestro and Junkenstein's Monster can aim better.
  • Zombardier pathfinding changed for ranged attacks and move more often.
  • Fixed an issue in which shocktires would spawn if they were killed in "Shocking Surprise" Challenge Mission.

Update v12.3 - New Title

Found by Zezombye, the game mode will now appear in the custom game menu as the actual Junkenstein. It will also appear like this in the custom game lobby finder.

WARNING: The title will go away if you change an option in the workshop settings, so if you want to keep it save it as a preset!

Update v12.2 - More Bots and Custom Names

In this update, the more bots extension and custom names action is used to make a more fluent pve experience. Allowing the addition of 20 bots on the opposite team.

This means that you can indeed play 6ve as only 18 bots would be allowed on the opposite team!

This is a great opportunity for Junkenstein's Revenge to get an update so that Endless can have a more fluent experience! I hope you enjoy this update!

Removed Anti-Copy

The game mode was unplayable so I removed the anti-copy!
Updates/Fixes:

  • Shock tires no longer spawn when an intro is playing, this doesn't affect shock tires that are spawned before intros (06/02/2021)

Update v11.9 - Shock-Tire Modifier

You can now modify the delay of shock-tires to the lowest delay of 1 second (or be a noob and make it 500 seconds)!

Located under Difficulty, picks a random number between "MIN" and "MAX", so MIN: "1" and MAX: "1" would just be a 1 second delay

Update v11.8 - Door Health Progress Bar and Update Every Frame Intros

Update v11.6 - Kill Feed Modifier

  • Kill feed now disables whenever a Zomnic/Zombardier is killed
  • Kill feed re-enables whenever a boss is killed

I felt like these changes could make the kill feed feel not as congested as it used to be, this is as you would see Zomnic and Zombardier deaths in kill feed, which would wash out the bosses and Shock-tires being killed in the kill feed. As a sidenote, I also partially did it since Zomnic kills aren't counted on the kill feed.

  • Fixed Bosses and Zarya's Pathfinding to bridge when there is not a path leading up towards the bridge (24/10/2020)
  • Fixed a bug in which players who chose Junkrat on Team 1 received their ultimate as soon as they spawned in (25/10/2020)
  • Fixed a bug in which bots try to jump up the stairs on the left side (25/10/2020)
  • Fixed a bug in which Dr. Junkenstein's intro would have a random chance of spectating the Shock-Tires (26/10/2020)
  • Fixed a bug in which all Shock-Tires had to be dead on the Final Battle to get the Victory (26/10/2020)

Update v11.4 - Update to Pathfinding

Bots like Zombardiers and Bosses should now find it hard to get stuck. Especially in parts under the bridge. They should also find it hard to jump off the map, but obviously it can still happen.

Update v11.3 - Update to Scoring

  • Scoring is now done in PTS (Points) instead of XP (Experience) You can now get bonus points for killing an elite (boss) quickly, this only currently works with the following bosses:
    • The Reaper < 6s
    • Junkenstein's Monster < 12s
    • Dr. Junkenstein < 9s
    • The Summoner < 7s

Update v11.2 - Mercy Circles Pocket

The Witch now circles who ever she pockets, it's not constant circling. This makes the Witch harder to hit, but also prone to falling off the edge! Give me feedback on how it goes, and I'd love to hear from you guys!

In this update, Symmetra circles enemies so it will now be harder to kill her! I got some help from the wonderful people on the workshop.codes discord and I got a solution! Thanks!

Junkrat has grown legs and can move if hooked off his platform, and if you get a certain distance away from him :)

Update v10.1 - Junkenstein Better Aim

This update is supposed to reveal what me and some other people on a discord server have been talking about for a long time, I have been trying to figure out how to make Junkenstein aim better. I found a message that SpadeInTheDirt has made about Junkenstein's aiming and I took a look at it, his aiming is okay... but the bombs take a while to get to the player in which he is still very accurate. Have a go and see what it's like, if we can we might update it to make him aim more forwards like he usually would.

Update v10 - New Difficulties

Pick from a range of difficulties that are very similar to the original Junkenstein's

Update v9.2 - New Hero Intros and Junkrat Anti-Boop

  • There are new up-close intros of all the Junkenstein's Revenge heroes when they spawn in (Reaper etc.)
  • Junkrat cannot be booped from his post, but can be hooked from it.

Update v9.1 - Zombardier AI Update

  • Zombardiers now follow you from a distance
  • If Zombardiers get too close they will walk backwards

Also the scoreboard has been added back :)

This will make the Zombardiers feel as if they are actually in the battle rather than standing aimlessly in the distance

Update v9 - New Scoreboard

  • The new scoreboard is more minimalistic
  • The new scoreboard now shows your hero icon and HP

Update v8.9 - Fixed Bug

  • Endless doesn't skip Bonus Wave 1 anymore
  • AI teammates no longer spawn when game is ending

No Longer WIP!

I feel like this game mode was the best game mode to ever make, and it was! It was a great idea. I will still be making updates though as there will be more workshop updates to make the game mode better. I feel like removing the WIP is for the best as I am no longer doing frequent updates that completely change game mode. I hope everyone understands this, but just another heads up I AM NOT ABANDONING THE PROJECT.

Update v7 - Normal Waves Update

  • The gamemode now has default waves
  • The gamemode is 8 minutes long
  • There is a final wave where The Witch revives all the bosses and you have to kill all of them to win
  • Each boss has a cutscene when they die and all other bosses are dead

Update v6.5 - Scoring System Update

Scoring:

  • Zomnic and Zombardier kills +20XP
  • The Reaper kills +400XP
  • Other Bosses kills +800XP

Survival Bonuses

  • The first bonus is +25XP
  • Bonuses reset every time someone dies
  • Bonuses increase by +50XP
  • Bonuses increase every 25 kills

  • New Junkenstein's Revenge Intro for start game

Update v5

  • Added addable bots to defending team These bots attack Junkenstein's creations and are good sidekicks if you don't have any yourself!

Update v4 - The Maestro is here

The Maestro has entered Dr Junkenstein's team to help break down the gate of castle Aldersbrunn. Defend the castle and stop Dr Junkenstein and his friends from getting inside!

This mode is Experimental, why?

The mode is Experimental as Sigma isn't usually in Junkenstein's Revenge, so I added him as I wondered what it would be like. Also I'd like to hear some comments on how it goes and if they enjoyed it or not. So anyways, enjoy!

Update v3 - Pathfinding

I have finally created some good pathfinding for Junkenstein's Revenge, credit for ItsDeltin for helping me with the pathfinding as I am new to it. Go and check out his github for more information about Overwatch Pathfinding. The new pathfinding update is included to all the bosses! (apart from Dr Junkenstein)

Update v2.6 - Bug Fixes and New Additions

  • Added the ability to show or hide boundaries in Workshop Settings
  • Updated HUD to look more minimalistic and is more cleaner
  • Added a scoreboard with your personal damage dealt and ultimate charge
  • Shorter assemble heroes time which doesn't start counting down until every player has picked a hero

  • Fixed a bug which allowed players to win a game when they are all dead and aren't in Never Ending Mode.
  • Fixed a bug in which the game would not end if it weren't on Never Ending Mode.

  • Reaper no longer goes into Wraith Form at the cutscenes

What is All Heroes mode?

When turned on you get to play whatever character you like!

What is Never Ending mode?

The game doesn't end, and bosses keep coming. If the whole team dies the game ends and the defending team wins. If the door gets destroyed you lose.
