[Changelog - 0.11.X | September 7, 2021]


--- GENERAL ---
Revamped the formula that determines how much threat is generated. It should now scale based on the player"s damage, or the healee"s maximum health, roughly evening the threat generated as time passes.
Made the Expanse Arena very slightly smaller functionally.
Added a new customizable feature that lets you select the particular boss you want to face.
Changed the bonus crystals you gain for starting with these game settings. They will scale much better.
The lobby will now reset itself to default settings if there are no players in the game for 2 minutes, and the match timer is below 15 minutes.
Added a variable that stores, [Total Boss Clears], [Best Boss Cleared], and [Total Wipes].
Added a per boss variable that stores how many times you have attempted them. It will now also be displayed in the HUD.
Every wipe now makes players & enemies deal 2% bonus damage per wipe.
Crystals are slightly more frequent from boss wipes, and trash killed.
Changed the default wipes allotted to 10, was 5.

Lucio now rapid fires shots if he is above 20 ammo.
McCree now has 7 bullets, was 6.
Torbjorn will now deal 60% more damage during Overload.

A LOT of code optimizations.
Minor string improvements.

--- ENEMIES & BOSSES ---
Enrage now increases the bot projectile speed massively.
Enrage also makes them ignore threat outright, and focus nearby enemies.
Trash will now do more base damage, and scale up to 60% maximum damage, was 50%.
Trash is now affected by the damage reduction of bosses post #10.
Trash now has 8 minutes to be cleared before they will enrage.

Fixed a bug causing trash to do x3.3 damage without enrage.
When trash enrages, any player that dies is dead until resurrected or all players die.
If all players die, the trash phase is skipped. This will cause you to leave Crystals that you could have earned behind.

Bosses #22 and beyond should be better at putting up a fight.
Special bosses #10, #20, and eventually #30; will have a different enrage timer, ranging from 9-12 minutes.
Bosses now react to being hacked for 20 seconds, consecutively.
Replaced boss #27 with Doomfist, was Zenyatta.
Replaced boss #28 with Lucio, was Junkrat.
Added a new boss #29, Echo.

The amount of Crystals rewarded for defeating a boss now depends on how few attempts it took.
Enemies can now be independently flagged as Essential, making them unable to despawn upon death.
All bots now spawn with a brief invincibility frame.
Many mobs cannot use boss abilities unless they acquire significantly more health.

A.I. now realize that they have multiple charges of an ability and use them more often.
A.I. learned how to use Quick Melee.
Trash now despawn if they suicide, but will not if they die to the environment (excluding Expanse Arena).

Ana now heals 125 health per ally, was 40.
Ashe learned how to use her gun.
Baptiste now drops [Immortality Field] at his feet. Its cooldown has been reduced to 35%, was 100%.
Bastion now takes 65% damage, was 90%. Summoning adds now inflict damage to himself.
Doomfist now has Genji"s A.I. of pursuing weakness.
Doomfist learned how to use his fist.
Doomfist now moves twice as quick.
D.Va now has a new mechanic that can be randomly selected. This mechanic is a primer to the future boss styled mechanics.
Genji on the Hanzo fight now has a 24 second respawn, was 12.
Genji now does 150% damage, was 300%.
McCree now has a permanent companion Ashe at his side.
Mei now takes double damage when she has active adds.
Mei maybe a bit less of a nuisance somewhere here...
Mercy and Moira now always target allies.
Mercy adds now have a randomized health percentage.
Added additional failsafes to Mercy boss.
Moira adds now get reduced health instantly.
Moira now does 140% damage, was 165% & takes 65% damage, was 100%.
Orisa [Supercharger] now ignites players for 200 DMG over 8 seconds, was 160.
Reaper generates significantly less ultimate charge per point of damage.
Reaper now takes some of his life form to use [Death Blossom], but the debuff it applies is more deadly.
Reinhardt now takes 55% damage, was 50%.
Roadhog no longer [Devour]s corpses, and grants a random threat percentage to a random player when he does devour someone.
Sombra no longer listens to the threat table, and instead picks a random target for a period of time, she tends to not stick to ones that stay healthy for a long time.
Sombra has a new dialogue.
Tracer now takes 90% damage, was 85%.
Widowmaker actually posses a threat now. Yay.
Widowmaker learned a new mechanic.
Tweaked Widowmaker strategy.
Widowmaker now takes 100% damage, was 80%.
Winston now takes 90% damage, was 85%.
Winston now uses one of his mechanics properly.
Wrecking Ball now has a low chance to summon a Cowboy.
Zarya now does 115% damage, was 160%.
Zarya now has 75% cooldowns, was 40%.
Zarya now increases her vulnerability to attacks with each mechanic used. 6% on add summon, 8% on teleport. This vulnerability causes her to take increased damage, stacking.
Zarya now has a bonus 8000 health, due to her new weaknesses.
Zarya learned a new, annoying mechanic.
Zenyatta learned a new mechanic.

--- PLAYERS ---
Removed any previous damage multiplier while using ultimates in favor of a new team based system.

When you are using an ultimate, by default you will deal 50% more damage and healing, regardless of character; and each team mate also doing an ultimate increases this by an additional 25%.

You can now find a new station upon encountering Roadhog, which allows you to reset your path for a cost. This cost increases each time you reset.
The starting crystals amount is now split in half, with one half dependent on the highest boss cleared that game. This does mean that starting a fresh game will net you slightly less crystals, but gives players extra if the lobby went back some bosses.
Changed the cost of Speed, it will now grow exponential in cost, preventing players from reaching absurb amounts.
Ammo Packs no longer activate if you have infinite ammo.
Added a sound effect for [Survival Instinct].
Added visuals for the [Unkillable], [Phased Out], and [Invincible].
Tanks now are healed as if they have 400 health, was 350.
Tanks now get 4 health per 1%, was 3.9%.
Tanks now get 3 armor per 1%, was 2.75%.

Ana now does 108% damage, was 100%.
Baptiste now does 115% damage, was 100%.
Baptiste now does 88% healing, was 80%.
Brigitte now does 135% damage, was 130%.
Doomfist now does 145% damage, was 140%. Now takes 80% damage, was 85%.
Doomfist Ammo Regeneration Speed is now 110%, was 100%.
Lucio now does 108% healing, was 107%.
McCree now does 104% damage, was 107%.
McCree now gains 95% ultimate from combat, was 135%.
Moira now does 155% damage, was 170%.
Moira now does 104% healing, was 110%.
Moira [Coalescence] now lasts 80%, was 115%.
Pharah now does 107% damage, was 104%.
Sigma [Gravity Flux] does slightly more damage.
Soldier now does 111% damage, was 108%.
Symmetra now does 113% damage, was 115%.
Torbjorn now does 105% damage, was 109%.
Zarya now projects her barrier 3 additional times, allowing her to actually charge it up. The barrier absorbs slightly less damage per barrier.
Zarya now does 100% damage, was 110%.
Zarya now has a 75% Particle Barrier CD, was 40%. Projected Barrier is now 50%, was 60%.
Zenyatta now does 75% damage, was 80%; and does 89% healing, was 90%.

--- PATHS ---

There are now repercussions for being on Death"s Door sustained. ([Hacking] healers might want to be careful).
The [Burning] path does significantly more damage/healing.
Increased the duration of [Freezing] damage stun slightly.
[Manual Restore] has been replaced with [Manual Application] now instantly applying your path effect to an enemy.
[Manual Barrier] now applies a Shield worth 150% of your health, was 100%.
[Refresh Kits] now disable your ability to use your ultimate briefly, so there is a lower chance to misuse your ultimate.
[Conversion] has been replaced with [Bound]; [Bound] now makes you do bonus damage to frozen/hacked enemies, or bonus healing to phased out/unkillable allies.
All paths now play a unique sound effect when triggered.

[Changelog - 0.10.X | Summer 2021 ]

--- GENERAL ---
The [Switch Heroes] function no longer kills the player, and will actually give you time to think.
Dialogue duration is now determined per character in each phrase. The general length is assumed to 0.085 seconds per character. Or 0.51 seconds per 6 letter word.

This should create enough fludity for dialogue that allows it to vary wildly in length, yet also be comfortably readable without dragging on too long.
If this is too fast, let me know and I can adjust it.

Each time you fail a boss, the boss will award slightly more crystals for both clear or actual wipe.

This is a slight improvement for challenge vs. punishment. And should help with affording more consumables.

If you are below 50% threat, and have no targets within 15m of you, you will now recover a portion of your health over time after 3 seconds.
Increased the alotted wipes per attempt to 5, was 3.

Adjusted a few of the boss dialogues.
Healing paths and indicators no longer trigger unless you are a Support character.

--- BOSSES ---
Reduced the enrage timer from 10-15min, to 7-10min.
Widowmaker jumps half the height.

Trash packs now heal for 20% of the original value, was 33.3%.
Wrecking Ball now gets his ultimate much slower.
Reduced the amount of adds Wrecking Ball summons.

Enrage timer reduced to 6-8 minutes, was 7-10.
If the enemy is hacked for 20+ seconds, they will attempt to do something else.
Genji will now always target the player with the lowest threat. Not sorry.
Moira no longer does super increased damage during ultimate.

With this fix, the boss becomes a lot easier, so adds have had their health buffed to compliment this fix.

McCree now does 50% damage, was 40%.
Tracer now takes 75% damage, was 85%.
Reaper now does 135% damage, was 125%.
Reaper now takes 90% damage, was 100%.
Reinhardt now takes 55% damage, was 50%.
Soldier now does 67% damage, was 100%.
Soldier now takes 80% damage, was 90%.
Winston now takes 85% damage, was 60%.
Zarya now does 160% damage, was 200%.

--- PLAYERS ---
Added a new path [Haste].

Attacks/heals have a chance to reduce active CDs by 1 seconds (@100%)
It has two unique imbues:
Speed: Gain +25% movement speed, and restore ammo while reloading
Ultimate: Adds 2% ultimate charge (@100%)
> Keep in mind players start with 25% not 100%.

Tanks now gain 2.75 armor per upgrade, was 2.675.
Tanks now gain 3.9 health per upgrade, was 3.8.

Slightly increased the Healer heal path throttle rate.

Added a new system. The ability to purchase [Ammo Pack] and [Refresh Kit]. They are purchasable after boss 6 is defeated. They cost slightly less than Resurrect Tokens.

Ammo Packs multiply your maximum ammo capacity, and decay by 20% every minute you are in combat.
Stacks up to 2.
Refresh Kits are usable in combat by holding the ultimate key, and reduce all cooldowns by 2m, and grant +25% ultimate charge. They have a 1 minute cooldown.
Stacks up to 3.

Bastion now does 83% damage, was 80%.
Brigitte now does 130% damage, was 116%.
Brigitte ultimate generates at 150%, was 500%.
Brigitte now does 90% healing, was 100%.
Junkrat now has 120% projectile speed, was 110%.
Genji now does 110% damage, was 108%.
Genji [Deflect] now has an 80% cooldown, was 100%.
Genji ultimate now lasts 150%, was 120%.
McCree now does 107% damage, was 104%.
Mei now has 115% projectile speed, was 100%.
Moira now does 170% damage, was 130%.
Moira now does 110% healing, was 105%.
Pharah now has 133% ammo, was 100%.
Sombra [Hack] now generates 30% threat on cast.
Sigma now does 130% damage, was 100%.
Symmetra now does 120% damage, was 112%.
Symmetra now has 135% ammo, was 125%.
Reinhardt now does 95% damage, was 105%.
Reinhardt now takes 58% damage, was 50%.
Winston now does 150% damage, was 130%.
Wrecking Ball now does 130% damage, was 97%.
Zarya base health increased to 22.5%, was 15%.
During ultimate, Winston now does 250% damage.
During ultimate, Moira now does 333% damage.
During ultimate, Brigitte now applies a 3 second 10hps HOT effect to any ally in 8.5m, 4 times a second. This means it can stack up to 12 times.
Upon ultimate cast, Lucio now makes all allies in a 30m radius immune to damage for 3.5 seconds.
During [Fortify], Orisa now gains +20% health as armor.
During [Adapative Shield], Wrecking Ball now gains +15% health per enemy in 8m as barriers.
Moira now takes 75% healing, was 10%.
Pharah now does 104% damage, was 100%.
Tracer [Recall] now heals 75 health over 1.5 seconds, since it previously did nothing.

Brought 0.10.0 PTR features to the live build.

--- PLAYERS ---
Moira projectiles now move at 55% speed, was 80%.
Moira now heals at 145%, was 133%.
Orisa [Protective Barrier] now has a 35% cooldown, was 65.
Orisa [Fortify] now has an 80% cooldown, was 100.
Soldier now does x2 the damage while using his ultimate, to make up for the lack of critical hits.

--- BOSSES ---
Increased crystal gains from failures and kills.
All bosses gain a scaling health value for base health on stuff like barriers.
Bosses 21 and beyond now have even more health.

Reinhardt's adds now deal 60% reduced damage.
McCree now summons his Gang more often.
Soldier"s adds do not despawn now.
Widowmaker should use her scope more often.
Torbjorn should do more stuff.

*This update is not particularly large, and this mode will be worked on in some capacity soon.

--- GENERAL ---
Player maximum increased to 10, was 7. In theory the mode could support 12.
Enemy maximum increased to 14, was 5. This is due to the new features that allow 12 non-player dummy bot slots.

Maximum trash that can be active is now based on the total amount of players, ranging 2-5 trash - or 1 bot per 2 players. Was 4 regardless of count.
Boss monsters will now have their actual name modified. All actual boss "titles" have been modified.

Modified a few boss mechanics to take advantage of increased dummy bot slots.

Added new eye candy to some boss mechanics.

Player Genji now does 108% damage, was 107.
Player Zarya now has a base health of 15%, was 10. This in effect makes her barrier 50% more absorbant.

--- TECHNICAL ---
Slight updates to the boss mechanic framework. This is currently only in effect on (Boss 18) Bastion and (Boss 22) Torbjorn"s new ability.
General shop purchases can now be run slightly quicker.
Significantly optimized the price display function now only updating when needed.

--- GENERAL BALANCING ---
Each failed attempt on a boss now reduces future enrage timers down to a minimum of 7.5 minutes. Default timer increased to 15 minutes, was 10.
THIS DOES NOT SAVE IF YOU DEFEAT THE PREVIOUS BOSS or STAGE, thus allowing you to resume a 15 minute enrage timer if you want.
If a boss dies to the environment, their enrage timer will decrease a slight random amount.
Bulk shop purchases (on main items) now have bulk purchase messages. This is to reduce visual spam if joining a game late.
Hacking heal duration reduced from 0.15 seconds per 5% to 0.10.

--- PLAYERS ---
Widowmaker now does 95% damage, was 100.

--- ENEMIES ---
Orisa now explodes for firey damage upon using her ultimate. Dealing 20dps upon application.

--- BOSSES ---
Bosses after 12 and beyond now gain 5% damage reduction. This reduction drops all the way to 5% by the time you reach #30.
(Boss 10) Moira, now has 30 second cooldown on [Data Collection], was 35. Now also has a visual HUD for the power gains by this ability.
[Data Collection] will now execute 11 seconds after the last unit is spawned, was 35.
(Boss 12) Tracer [Time Bend] now has a cooldown of 18 seconds, was 25. While [Time Bend] is active, Tracer cannot be killed.
(Boss 16) Zarya adds now live for a maximum of 10 seconds, was 6. Cooldown on spawning adds is now 20, was 22.
(Boss 18) Bastion now takes 50% increased damage from the player with the highest threat.
(Boss 19) Reaper [Death Blossom] now applies a strong DOT upon expiration to nearby foes.
(Boss 22) Torbjorn, now has a new ability [Lava Smoke], which places a random deadly cloud of fire that ignites enemies!
(Boss 23) Ana, now heals 40 health per unit alive 10 seconds after summoning Anas. Adds now deal 25% damage, was 20%.

Updated game mode description.

Several balancing changes, many related to bosses and specific heroes. Most heroes are stronger in one way or another.
Updated all PATH balancing. Paths now start at 25% (was 100%) and increment by 5% per upgrade (was 25%). Now can be upgraded 60 times (was 40).
- All sub-paths were tweaked slightly.
Added 8 new bosses.
Boss health is now a progress bar.
Rebalanced trash mobs.
Slight modifications to threat generation, notably self-healing now builds threat as well.

You can now return to a previous boss in the shop.

Map pool has been reduced to Workshop Expanse (Night) and Workshop Island (Night) mainly for ease on the eyes and for making player lives easier. Workshop Chamber is still supported, and same with the day version of the maps.

[Changes - 09/15/20 - Hotfix]

  • Fixed an issue with boss #20 not properly cycling the order.
  • Decreased the starting armor from 5% to 4%, just so the number is even.
  • Enemies now vary in size based on their maximum health. (Effect is reduced on Workshop Island.)
  • Amount of starting crystals has been increased.
