Welcome to One Bullet Deathmatch [OBD]

What is OBD?

This Gamemode is made by Instabuy (me) and Puppetsquid who helped me with some coding!
You got one Bullet to kill someone instantly! If you kill someone, the bullet will instantly Reload. If you miss, you need to wait until it automatically reloads the Bullet! Get used to this new kind of gamemode! It is very entertaining when waiting for a match or playing with friends!


Full Patchnotes: Version 11.1

General:

  • Increased the gained ulcharge when headshotting from 10% --> 15%
  • Kills to complete the game decreaced from 25 --> 20

Low Gravity on Start:

  • the HUD will now disappear when the real game started

Heroes:

  • McCree now instantly kills hit targets even if the ultimate is not fully charged

  • D.Va now needs to Melee twice to kill someone

Maps:

Ecopoint: Antarctica:

  • McCree & Bastion now can use his movementspeed bonus to extend the freezetimer
  • When Ulting, now your Freezeamount will be reset to 120 and during you ultimate you wont loose any movementspeed

Bugs:

  • after dieing on Ecopoint as D.Va ur gained ultcharge is resetted

Fixes

  • fixed a bug where D.Va did not get any Ultcharge when headshotting on EcoPoint and Petra
  • fixed a bug were Ashe could instantly kill with her shift ability after using her ultimate once
  • fixed bug, were movementspeed settings are not correctly applied while using on EcoPoint: Antarctica
  • fixed a bug were McCree Ult still had slow mo after using it

Mechanics

One Bullet one kill and your Bullet resets. Miss it? Wait 4 seconds to reload it and shoot again.
Instantly reload your bullet with ur Shift- or "E"-Ability and Melee (D.Va only). Shift has a much higher cooldown than a normal reload.
If you are special and hit a headshot (critical hit) you will get rewarded with the on fire Status which has the following effects:

  • You visually burn and get an fire icon above your head, which players can see though walls in a radius of 25
  • Your reload time is shortened to 2 seconds
  • Your Ability cooldown is resettet to 0 & when using is set to 7 (Bastion has unlimit movespeed more below & D.Va)
    • You will get 10% Ultimate Charge (D.Va will get 25 instead)

Ultimates:

Ultimates are very powerful tools to eliminate the vast majority of your enemys. Each Ultimate has a unique functionality & effect. Ultimates are gathered by doing headshots & through map specific Events. Those events trigger automatically. read more below


Map Events:

As a map specific event we descibe features that are only availabe while playing on this specific maps. Currently I offer you 2 maps with specific events: Château Guillard & Petra. In the future Ecopoint:Antartica will return with an rework of the map concept. So lets have a look on what concrete map events you currently play on:

Petra:

Petra is the first map with a concrete concept. Ultimates. One big Ultimate charger in form of a spiral is located in the heart of this map. But beware!
To occure this event, you simply need to wait until a big timer is showing the left time until the big UltCharger is spawned. And not enough with that! There will also be a big wall coming to the center & burn down every player outside of this circle. Sounds familiar? Sure, it is called Battle Royale!

Château Guillard:

Ah yes, france! What a beautiful castle we have here. Well it is indeed a wonderful place to be but what about those enemys you need to get rid of? This map is specified in buffing yourself. Go throu a SpeedCircle and outrun your enemy (or chase them). Need a little help? No problem, simply move throu that Burn-Cirlce & profit from all the bonuses as if you are "On Fire"! Oh! Did I mention the Ultimate you can use? No? Well how could I. Collect the glowing ultimate shards to gather you ultimate. Each shard will give you 34% Ultimatecharge. After being collected by ANY player, they will randomly spawn in another location after 30 seconds. And yes, there is a fancy countdown for you as well. Also: the red glowing pillar will already show you where the next Ultimate Shard will be! Everyone can collect it & therefore steal it. So be fast!

Ecopoint: Antarctica:

The frosty Ecopoint is as his name already says, very cold. Even our heroes start to freeze which brings me to the speciality of this map. You will freeze. And when I say freeze, I mean it. After spawning in this map you will continiously start to slow until you will Freeze. When you Freeze you can't move & use ability's. Above your head will be displayed that your current status is frozen. Also: you can see every status above the enemy's head! Except your owns. So you can see how fast (or not) they are currently. After 3 seconds, you will be free again & everything will start over.
There are three ways, to prevent you from Freezing. First: Kills. Every kill resets you movementspeed to 120%. Second: OnFire-state & lastly, dieing. While burning you keep yourself warm (makes sense does'nt it?). While in this state you can't loose any movement speed & it is kept to 120%.


Heroes:

Bastion: Cooldown: -
Other than every other Hero, Bastion has no way to reload a lost Bullet, instead, his secondary ability "self heal", burts him with a movementspeed bonus, which has no cooldown. He has some sort of "fuel" as in vanilla Overwatch. After he used it, it needs some time to fully refill. But it does not need to fully refill to use it again!

While on Fire:
You can unlimitlessly use your secondary ability until you "cooled off". Get rid of them slow cow's!

Ultimate:
Bastion transforms himself into his tank form, were he deals alot of area damage. This WILL kill everyone nearby (including himself), dont try to shoot yourself up. That won't work. I promise :D.

McCree: Cooldown: 15sec
Tumbles forward to receive your Bullet back & get a movementspeed bonus for a short period of time.

While on Fire:
Cooldown is reduced to 7 seconds.

Ultimate:
Show them who is the sherrif in town! Use your Ultimate Deadeye and get during the duration invincible. For maximum epicness, coolness & success you slow down time during your charge! Noone will escape that quickly! (Only a fully charged ultimate is an instant kill! Otherwise you will deal dmg.) Go get that PLAY OF THE GAME!

Ashe: Cooldown: 15sec
Pull out that shortened shotgun & blow yourself and the enemy away from you! You will deal damage but not kill em.

While on Fire:
Cooldown reduced to 7 seconds.

Ultimate:
Call your servant B.O.B. and let him do the work! Bob will do his job just fine, but even if he misses, you are empowered too! You will get the ability to unlimited shooting and deal massive damage with your shotgun. Get them BOB!

Mercy: Cooldown: 15sec
Fly like an angel & swing yourself up into the air or the front ... or left or wherever you want!

While on Fire:
Cooldown reduced to 7 seconds.

Ultimate:
Mercy pulls out her battlewings and starts shooting... unlimitlessly. But dont think thats about it. with every kill she makes, her movement gets faster! Chase them and kill em! Because Lege... HEROS NEVER DIE!

Soldier: 76: Cooldown: 15sec
Uses his Biotic field to get invincible for 1.5 seconds for a small price of 100 HP

While on Fire:
Cooldown reduced to 7 seconds & no HP cost.

Ultimate:
Tactical Advisor activated. Thats almost the end for everyone! You dont even need to find them because your ultimate will. And if not? At least you tried!

D.Va: Cooldown: -
D.Va will be a unique and new way to experience Bulletchamber. She will spawn outside of her mech, has a much highere jump & can Melee an enemy. The Melee is 2 hit kill & can Reload. A headshot gives her 25% Ultimate charge and a melee 10%.

While on fire:
no effect

Ultimate:
D.Va jumps into her Mech & can shoot unlimitlessly. Every spray shot is an instant kill. She also unlocks and has a shorter cooldown on her vanilla ability: Booster, which also is an instant kill. After 10 seconds, she will leave her Mech & your Ultimate is done. Reminder: When D.Va gets shot, she will leave her mech FIRST.


Future Plans

  • Add in useful tipps for new players or people who joined the game while waiting in queue

As you can see, this project is more up to date than ever :D in the future i will provide even more fun stuff to this heart project!

Bulletchamber is now OBD (One Bullet Deathmatch)

Full Patchnotes:

Renamed:

I renamed the mode, cause I thought it would not instantly tell you, whats going on in this kind of deathmatch. The most players understand "Bulletchamber" as some kind of Practise or as a room were you shouldnt get hit by random bullets flying around. Thats NOT what i inticipated, so I renamed it =). One Bullet Deathmatch is the new name and it definitly reflects the gamemode more than the old one. Have fun!


General:

  • Projectile speed increased for all non Hitscan heroes from 500 --> 250.000 to get a better hitscan feeling
  • Removed the Lifetime Bonus heal over time, its simply not useful and eats resources
  • Reconfigured bastions movespeed bonus so it feels a little better with his new mechanic

On Fire:

On fire always felt more like a punishment instead of an upgrade, so I decided to upgrade the "upgrade". On Fire now also reduces you cooldowns, gives you some ultcharge and is less visible:

  • Radius of the OnFire Icon reduced from 45 to --> 25
  • Using your bullet reset ability now grants you a shorter cooldown 15 seconds --> 7 seconds
  • When headshotting, your cooldowns are resettet to 0
  • When doing a headshot you get 10% Ultimate charge, this is not the case when running throu a bunpoint!
  • Because some heroes are handicapped, some get a special effect:

Soldier:76:

  • he wont get damaged during when using his "E"-Ability

Bastion:

  • can use it unlimitlessly

D.Va:

  • gets 25% Ultimate charge instead of 10%

Low Gravity:

Now the game will automatically start when 3 players are playing, before it will display a message: "Currently waiting for players! Low Gravity active." which means, that while you 2 (or you alone) are waiting, the Gravity is set to 40%. If a third players jons the match it automatically resets every progress, gravity & sends you all back to the hero assembly mode. In Ecopoint: Antarctica is while you wait the Freezing deactivated.

Ecopoint: Antarctica:

  • shortened the burnpoint, "OnFire" & a kill time, to reset your movementspeed from 0.5 --> 0.1 seconds

Full Patchnotes V9.5:

  • Edited the functionaliy of how McCree's Ultimate invincibility works. He now has a flat amount of invincibility of 5 seconds due to a bug. this will be changed later on!

Maps:

Petra:

  • Changed the UI to a much better visual experience
  • Edited the timer to 35 seconds instead of 30 seconds until the Ultimate Coin has spawned
  • Now the "Player alive"-HUD shows a short 5 seconds countdown before the Battle Royale event occurs
  • The zone is now a little slower & u got more time to run away and/or kill your enemys

Ecopoint: Antarctica:

  • Added back to the game with a unique functionality
  • Jumppads now function as intended
  • Added a BurnPoint similar to Château Guillard's

Well, the start of the new map event system was rough. I think we all can agree in that. So now its even better to know, that this version includes a HUGE update n functionality, visuality & events! Sadly, Ecopoint: Antartica is gone for now. But no worries. It will come back soon =)
