New maps

  • All Lijiang Tower maps are available in the map pool.

Bug fixes

  • Removed an arena in King's Row winter that makes you fall off the map
  • Fixed Health bar too low in "No Crosshair" mode
  • Fixed "Press button to play against a bot" not disappearing in "No Crosshair" mode after game started

General Update

  • All Event variant maps have been disabled due to a bug.
  • Temple of Anubis and Necropolis are temporarily disabled.
  • Added Kiriko, Junkerqueen, Sojourn, and Genji.
  • Fixed "Invalid map" issue.

General changes

  • Removed "Big enemy health bar" settings, doesn't really add much to the game.
  • There is now a fancy intro each round.
  • If you started the game without an enemy, a bot will now spawn. (Pressing interact to spawn bots still works)
  • Music will be disabled when the round started. Except when someone has 9 points.

Added Malevento, consists of 8 Staring Contest arenas.

Added Kanezaka to the map pool

VS AI Mode

  • No friends to play with? Now you can play against AI.
  • Press [Interact] before starting a game to spawn a bot.
  • The game will automatically start once the bot has spawned.

New custom workshop settings

  • Crosshair enabled: Whether should crosshair appear on screen.
  • Want some extra challenge? Turning crosshair off makes the game much harder!
  • Because your health bar will not be visible, a custom one will show up instead.

The Workshop maps were removed as they felt bland and boring for Staring Contest, which are supposed to take place in a beautiful setting. To compensate, I have added 3 Oasis maps to the pool. The remaining Control maps will come eventually.

General changes

  • Player health are set to exactly 200 via workshop script instead of custom games settings. (Previous Roadhog only had 198 health).
  • Game now starts when all slots are filled, instead of manually.

General update

  • Removed Genji from the playable hero pool

    Genji head shifts way too much when doing AD spam, which is way too overpowered. It's also the reason why Tracer, Lucio, and Baby Dva aren't in the game.

  • Out of arena ring distance check now ignores Y value.

    This change is specifically to deal with Horizon Lunar Colony where you can jump higher in the arena that is in the space walk, previously you can jump and accidentally cause yourself to take damage for being too far from the centre.

  • Added workshop settings for stare leniency, jump allowed, crouch allowed, and move speed.

    Some custom settings to customise your playing experience.

Small update for this one

  • Added night version of Workshop Island and Workshop Expanse.
  • Time to kill for not staring increased from 2s to 3s.
    • Comments: With the recent changes to how the stare detection works (v1.4.0), and the ability to jump and crouch (v1.3.0), the difficulty of the game has gone up. Increasing the time to kill gives you more time to recover from not staring, and also makes the game a bit longer.

  • Fixed a bug where sometimes the Team 1 player can face the opposite direction when spawning into position.
