Less crashing, hopefully


  • Berserker and Berserkerer earn more XP on damage and kills
  • Miner class now fights better while on the mine
  • Third person option added (hold reload to activate)

3.1.1: the "I can finally change heroes" update


Some changes that should have been done ages ago

  • Mining can now be done by holding down crouch
  • The change heroes button has its own custom functionality that actually, fully works this time. Crouch to switch hero selection, interact to select.

Increase progression speed (because that's probably what most people want)

  • XP pump starting output increased to 10.
  • Default dark points per reset increased to 3000.
  • Additionally, each reset will increase your starting level by 1 and increase global dark points gained per reset by 300. For example, if you have reset 15 times, you would start at level 15.

Blood shop and crystal changes

  • Coins earned from the blood crystal now depends on your level and max health, to a max of 50000 coins per tick.
  • Introducing yet another avenue of progression, the blood shop. Collect blood by standing on the blood crystal to contribute to the global blood bank. This blood can be then used to buy upgrades for the blood crystal. There is currently only one upgrade, but more will (hopefully) be added.

Bug fix:

  • Patch for the hero changing bug. Press escape while in the menu to get a wider selection. (only while using the "change hero" button)
  • Disabled excessive code related to boss minions
  • Tutorial gone

The hero changing bug seems to be a result of excessive elements, meaning that no specific code is causing it. Actually fixing it would probably mean removing content.

  • Level up points to coins conversion reduced to 1:30
  • Added new interaction in the market

Added short tutorial when joining game

  • You will now level up 100 times, if you have enough xp
  • Reduced small message clutter
  • Removed tracer recall, fixing an invincibility bug

Upgrade Compartments


Compartment 2 is now available, in the dark shop, along with 4 new perks. Instead of buying every individual perk in compartment 1 or 2, you can now buy access to an individual compartment. You can only buy access to a single compartment.

Compartments cost 4500 dark points. The perks are toggleable and multiple can be enabled at once.

Follow up update


  • Sanity mechanic changed: It does not reduce damage, but it disables damage if sanity is negative
    • Sanity will decrease substantially if the last kill caused negative sanity
  • A warning will appear when sanity is disabling damage
  • Beginner stat boost is now toggleable in workshop settings (enabled by default)
  • Buffed lifesteal upgrade
  • Added stats display to the center
  • Increased executioner damage and health range
  • Multiple kills in a single frame will only count and give rewards as if you killed 1, to fix a bug

Hardcore Setting

  • Added 2 new settings in workshop settings
    • Hardcore, when dying in hardcore, you will transfer all current xp, 2 levels and all current coins to your killer.
    • Ultra Hardcore, when dying in ultra hardcore, you will transfer half of your levels, all current xp, and all held and banked coins to your killer.
    • All disabled by default. Enable in workshop settings.

Notes

  • "Beginner boost" and "No excessive killing" cannot be enabled at the same time.
  • "Hardcore" and "Ultra hardcore" cannot be enabled at the same time.
  • Enabling incompatible settings will result in a server shutdown.
  • It is recommended to note custom settings in the title.

New workshop setting: No Excessive Killing

Currently disabled by default. You can enable it yourself in workshop settings if you would like to.

This setting introduces a "sanity" bar, which decreases as you kill others. It decreases faster under specific circumstances, e.g killed a beginner, killed a player with a passive class, etc.

Sanity increases slowly by itself, and faster if at spawn.

It will decrease as if you killed one person, if you rapidly kill multiple (in under 1 second)

Sanity decreases your damage dealt. It appears on your screen when your sanity has dropped below 85%.

Note: I do not recommend using this at the moment. There might be bugs, and there is no in-game indicator as to what it does, which can cause confusion. I will fix these 2 things tomorrow.

Edit: Might also be unbalanced.

  • Second wind (You will stay alive for 5 seconds after taking lethal damage from a player. You can only die from players and the environment. Cost: 5000 dark points)
  • Explosion (30% chance to cause an explosion on kill, dealing damage to all nearby players. Cost: 8000 dark points)
  • Executioner (Deal +40% damage against players below 40% health. Instantly kill players below 12% health. Cost: 12000 dark points)

  • Dark points will now show up on HUD (when you have them)

Cosmetics Update


This update required the sacrifice of 2 player slots. Also, some things might be slightly less annoying.

The dark shop and market are currently unavailable, and it might be buggy.

  • i got it to the "at least it works" stage, it probably currently doesn't play well without some features and a bunch of unfixed bugs, but "at least it works"
