Update Log for 💻Sombra Training Facility (28)

Updated Pharah's AI bot to also use Jet Dash.

General changes

  • Added a button that lets you teleport to other map sections for Control maps (eg: Busan, Oasis)
  • Note that this button is only accessible in the main menu (When you are selecting which training to do)

General update

  • Removed Stealth Dodging Training. There isn't a proper way to detect Sombra is in stealth, so I've decided to remove this training.

Added an "Alternate control to start training" in Workshop settings, allowing you to use [Crouch + Reload] instead of [Interact] to start/pause trainings.

Aim Training and Translocator Reaction Training have been removed from this workshop

  • The reason why I've decided to remove Aim Training and Reaction Training from heroes-specific training facilities is because Heroes Training Facility (AZSX9) offers the exact same aim training and reaction training, but for all heroes.
  • Previously, everytime there's an update to aim training, I also have to update all the heroes-specific training facilities, which is honestly quite daunting.
  • Now, with only 1 training facility having Aim Training and Reaction Training, this reduced duplicate content to update, which means updating content will be much easier.
  • Moving forward, all hero-specific training facilities will only have training specific to the hero's abilities.

General Changes

  • Made the button texts bigger!

Aim Training Changes

  • Updated AI for some enemies to be optimised for OW2: Cassidy, Doomfist, Winston, and Reinhardt.

Translocator Reaction Training Changes

  • Removed Brigette, she no longer has any crucial abilities to react to.
  • Sombra now hacks while in stealth.
  • Changes to the Reaction Test sequence. Now teleporting enemies into position will take place before a random wait time. It used to be a random wait time happens before enemies teleport into position. This should help deal with issue that you can see the enemy slightly jitter because the enemy wasn't teleported perfectly on the ground, allowing you to predict exactly when they will use abilities.

Hack Reaction Training changes

  • Roadhog no longer uses Whole Hog, since it's no longer a channeled ultimate.

General update

  • Fixed "Invalid map"
  • Removed Assault maps and workshop maps
  • Added Push maps

Note that this update aims to make the workshop importable into ow2 without importing issues, but some AIs are coded for OW1, this will be fixed in the coming days

General changes

  • Time to show/hide menu reduced to 0.25s (was 0.5s)

Aim Training changes

  • New modifier: [Passive]

When turned on, enemies will not attack you or use offensive abilities. Though they will still use their movement abilities, even if they do damage (e.g: Doomfist abilities).

Aim Training AI Bots changes

  • Ana now shoots with her rifle
  • Moira can now use Biotic Orbs
  • Baby Dva can re-enter mech faster
  • Dva now shoots with her weapon in both forms
  • Winston now attacks with Tesla Cannon
  • Overhaul Doomfist's AI, now uses hand cannon
  • Lucio can now attack with Sonic Amplifier
  • Echo can now attack with Tri shot and Sticky Bombs
  • Sigma can now attack with Hyperspheres

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a bug that Tracer bot would end up in spawn room if she used recall immediately after respawning. Now recall will be disabled for the first 3s after she respawns

Bug fixes

  • Fixed an issue where players can get stuck in an infinite death loop if they "started" the training over a ledge leading to environmental death or inside the death plane of the map.
  • Now players will respawn in their spawn room in they die to environmental death.

  • Reinhardt now uses hammer when he's near you.

Translocator Reaction

  • Added Wrecking Ball, Junkrat, Pharah, and Brigette for reaction against knockbacks

  • Added a button for you to hide UI during your training. Located top right of the panel.
  • All in-world text and buttons will be hidden from view when UI Hiding is active. Except the UI Hiding Button and Back Button

New training: Hack Reaction

  • Hack is a very powerful tool when used right. In this training, you will practice reacting to crucial abilities (such as Dragonblade) or hacks opportunities (such as Rein's firestrike), using your hack ability.
  • Enemies will constantly shoot at you so it's more difficult to get a hack off, you can use your translocator to get another angle, or use EMP to make things easier for you.
  • You can play against up to 16 different heroes for this gamemode.
  • Bots AI are relatively new, do let me know some feedback to make improvements to it.

New training modifier

Added Your Mercy pocket mode for Aim training section, which spawns a Mercy that damage boosts you.

Version 2 upgrades!

  • In Version 2, I have converted the entire training to be held in Workshop Chamber for a more universal training experience.
  • The workshop was previously held in Watchpoint Gibraltar due to Translocator Parkour section. Since it's removed, there is no need for the training to be held in Watchpoint Gibraltar.
  • Moving to Workshop Chamber also allows for easier update (eg: new training partners) since the code is similar to those in Mei/Reaper/Ashe Trainer workshops.

General changes

  • Moved the training to Workshop Chamber

Weapon Tracking

  • Added Reinhardt, D.va, Winston, Lucio, Widowmaker, and Ashe Training Partners.
  • Added More HP Mode so you can increase the Training Partner's HP for longer sessions.

New Training

  • Weapon Tracking
  • As Sombra's only source of damage is from her weapon, it is crucial to aim well with Machine Pistol.
  • Practise your weapon tracking with 11 different heroes of various mobility levels and patterns.
  • From the very immobile Ana, through the elusive Tracer, to the high-flying Pharah.

Replaced Training

  • Translocator Parkour has been replaced with Translocator Reaction
  • I have decided to remove Translocator Parkour as it didn't help much with practising the usage of Translocator.
  • Escaping crucial abilities with Translocator can be skill that Sombra players can learn.
  • You will also learn that Sombra has a short period of invulnerability after translocating, so you can use it to dodge D.va bomb.
  • Your goal is to avoid getting hit by Crowd Control abilities like Earthshatter, or high-damage abilities like D.va bomb.

What about Translocator Parkour?

  • For those who loved Translocator Parkour, you can still use the old code: TSB2M to play.
  • I will be making it as standalone gamemode, which I can also include more abilities usage.

General changes

  • In Stealth Dodging, the boundary radius that pushes you back to the centre has been reduced, but visually the size is the same. You shouldn't be stuck behind the crates outside Attacker spawn near Point B.
  • In EMP Coverage, a top HUD now shows if you are in the Hacking range, supposed you are the enemy player.
  • Added in-world text that tells you to hold left click for 1 second to reset enemies in Stealth Dodging, or select enemies in Translocator Reaction/Weapon Tracking.
